Governments and the Telecom industry know about the harmeful effects of RF Radiation

You know lots about Exxon Mobil, the world’s largest publicly traded international oil and gas company.  It has just earned  $16.2 Billion in 2015.  Wow, what a huge corporation.

In such a huge company, you would think that there would be some people in management that understood something about Global Warming and the impact of the continued burning of fossil fuels on Global Warming.  Well, it appears that in 1977 (that is 39 years ago) the management of Exxon Mobile were informed of the impact that continued burning of fossil fuels would have on Global Warming but Exxon Mobile continued to do “business as usual:

  • fund the climate change denial groups
  • purchased drilling licenses in areas that would be ice free when global warming decreased the ice in the north
  • continued to drill and supply the market with oil
  • kept their knowledge secret

See the whole story at   http://www.postcarbon.org/exxons-never-ending-big-dig/

Why is this of interest to those of you who are fighting the ever increasing levels of RFR (radio frequency radiation) from cell phones, cell towers,  wifi hot spots,  wifi routers, wifi computers,  smart phones, and on and on and on?  Why?  Because if Exxon Mobile kept the damaging effects of burning fossil fuel secret for almost 40 years, then you might be correct in assuming that the governments and corporations involved with RFR have been doing the same.

I contend that these organizations know and have known the health impacts of RFR and have known since before WWII. (remember Radar which transmits high powered RFR). That is over 75 years ago.  These organizations continue to grow and to pump out more RFR products and continue to deny that RFR causes any health issues.

So, why is this.  The answer, IMHO, is simply that there is so much money to be lost if the truth were known and understood by the people.  The world finances would take a huge hit,  governments would go broke,  people would sue everyone who kept the industry going.

Excerpts from the full 23 page document.  This is a rather difficult read so read carefully.

In this article, we wish to discuss the relationship between the expansion and deepening of corporate encroachment on the household and everyday life through the emerging energy “smart grid.”

Every home is equipped with the rudiments of electrical
infrastructure and commodities, ranging from the more modest forms of equipment, such as toasters and refrigerators, to the more extravagant, such as luxury hot tubs and full-scale entertainment complexes. but most people would not imagine that, apart from the bill they receive from their local electric utility, their every flick of an electrical switch integrates their cyberselves as an informational force of (re)production in the corporate capitalist accumulation process.

Technology developments have broad applications and implications, but the smart energy grid that is being implemented
across the United States and Canada, like the worldwide web, we argue, is being appropriated as part of a design to draw upon higher level data from dwellers (as surplus value) in the service of industrial profiteering and in the surveillance interests of industry
and the state.

The consumer’s use value of electricity consumption is thus being transformed into exchange value, as well as creating new forms of social monitoring and control by agencies of government, and of violations of constitutional protections under the Fourth Amendment of the u.S. constitution and Section 8 of the Canadian charter of rights and Freedoms.

As recent exposés regarding National Security Agency (NSA) data collection practices reveal, the clandestine state invasion of private lives and personal information on a sweeping scale would hardly be unprecedented.

………

There are three closely related core and mutually constituting issues we wish to discuss in this article.

The first concerns the matter of deep surveillance of household life and what this suggests about the erosion of the right to privacy principle embedded in the Fourth Amendment and Section 8 of the Canadian charter of rights and Freedoms, as well as about the regulation of daily life by highly organized, technology assisted external commercial and state forces.

The second, which closely follows from and rationalizes the first, relates to the Foucauldian idea about the disciplining of citizens,
which we see as achieved through ideology, discourse, and materiality linked to electrical energy use within the home, as well as to notions of “efficiency” that persuade people to adapt their behavior as “rational economic actors.”

This subjectivity acquiesces to the rules and regimentation of the corporate enterprise, leads to self taylorization of time and motion in consonance with presumed personal and environmental savings, and in general induces conformity to the norms that make for good neoliberal corporate state citizens.

Third is the question of how consumers are subsumed in value creation, an investigation into whether energy consumers, as “prosumers,” are concurrently producers of wealth by way of submission of their identities and use data that are appropriated in the process of capital formation (within its production and circulation functions)—anything from space/time use of appliances, to the ways by which self-regulation is commodified.

If RF Radiation is so bad then why are we having so much trouble getting rid of it?

Many of us believe that radio frequency Radiation (RFRad) is causing many people, perhaps all people, harm.  We are currently seeing an increase in sensitivity of RFRad in the form of EHS (Electro Hyper sensitivity) and various cancers.  Many people feel no harm and are not sensitive but that does not necessarily mean there is no harm being done on a long term basis.

If we lived in a democracy and a large segment of the population expressed concerns about this problem then there would be  major investigations and studies performed to determine the validity of the concerns and the extent of the problem.  The understanding would be that “surely so many people cannot be crazy.  surely there must be something going on that we do not understand”

If we lived in a democracy then our governments would proceed with the Precautionary Principle and would halt the ever increase in the levels of RFRad from Cell towers,  Cell phones,  wi-fi routers and Smart meters until it was clear that harm from RFRad was real and not just psychosomatic.

But we do not live in a democracy.  It looks like a democracy from the outside and everyone calls it a democracy but it is not really a democracy.

Our Canadian governments and those of the USA are owned by the large corporations who have the money and intelligence to make the governments dance to corporation’s music.

The Corporation’s primary objective is to make money for their share holders and so, for a corporation to make money they have to do everything possible to do so.  See the movie available on the internet – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Corporation_%28film%29

The Corporation is psychopathic.  See the definition.

Federal governments are influenced in many ways to make life easier for the Corporations to make their profits,  Lobbying is the term used and good old money is the currency.   I have just found a very recent article published by the Guardian newspaper concerning how major US Corporations have given millions of dollars to various US Senators in order to fast track the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).    Fast track is the term used to get the bill signed without due process of discussion and argument and understanding.   It goes something like this:  “Senator Rob XXXXX of the state of  XXXX,  vote to Fast Track this TPP bill and we will give your election campaign office $120,000.  Agreed?  Good?”.  See the full article at this link.

http://www.theguardian.com/business/2015/may/27/corporations-paid-us-senators-fast-track-tpp

You should be aware of the TPP because Canada and 11 other countries are entering into this trade agreement that seems to be primarily to the benefit of the major corporations and NOT to the various governments and certainly not to the average citizen.  And it seems that the details of the agreement are still secret.  What?  Our government is not letting us know what they are getting us into!  What?  We just might not agree with our government.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans-Pacific_Partnership

The reason I bring up the TPP and Corporations and the lack of Democracy is that this process is exactly the same as the Wireless business in Canada and the US.    We,  the citizens that are aware and are concerned, are not being listened to by the Corporations or by our elected Government departments – Health Canada being the major one.  Why?  It is because the Corporations have paid so much money to the governments that the Governments cannot change the rules now.  I am not saying that in Canada that the Corporations are paying Senators or the political parties directly similar to what is happening in the US.  The Canadian Government itself  is receiving lots of money from all aspects of the wireless business:  taxes on all sales,  rent of wireless spectrum to the wireless companies (example – Canada wireless spectrum 2500 MHz Auction 2015 January netted about $750 million).

If the Canadian government were suddenly to change its policy and start listening to the concerned citizens and start to remove  or limit the RFRAD devices then they would be forfeiting a huge portion of their income, which they have used to balance the federal budgets.  We would all feel the pinch:  hospitals,  schools,  the military.

So in my view, the current fight of the citizens concerned about the huge growth in the RFRAD and wireless business and electro pollution from Smart Meters,  cell phones and the ubiquitous WiFi will continue until we have enough scientific evidence to prove in court that RFRad is actually damaging our health and that the federal government then must act to prevent further harm.  This will cause  major economic stress on the government but for the continued health of it citizens, it must be done.   My guess is within 4 years from now we will see some major changes.
