- From a member:
This article talks about keeping the power levels of wifi signals consistently high so as to be able to power devices (particularly security) wirelessly …. another piece of the smart grid agenda puzzle?
No wonder the power companies want RF tech so badly. They want control and a piece of the power pie, no matter which way it goes in the future!
- A smart meter caught “sparking” on video. Go to 13:49 of the youtube. I am trying to find out the type of smart meter and will let you know when I find out.
- Photos of different brands of smart meters, several showing the utility company using it. Could be most helpful at times.
- Attached is a very good article written by Dr. Richard Conrad who is a biophysicist. This provides an excellent overview of many of the concerns we have with smart meters, and will be very useful to some of our newer members (of which there are quite a few). This also would be an excellent resource for letter writing, etc.
- Malcolm Paterson, PhD, whose career in cancer research spanned over 40 years in 5 countries on 3 continents, will review the health-related science of wireless devices including mobile phones, WiFi in schools and smart meters.
Learn the science-based facts and what you can do to protect your and your family’s health.

Oliver Community Centre

Please join us for Dr. Paterson’s last public presentation in our area. Dr. Paterson will be discussing the health-related issues of WiFi, including smart meters, as well as recent developments including the Canadian Medical Association Journal’s recent article decrying Health Canada’s Safety Code 6 as, “a public health disaster” and being invited to be one of over 200 scientists from 39 nations who have “collectively published over 2,000 peer-reviewed papers on the biological or health effects of non-ionizing radiation “, who have recently appealed to the United Nations “to exert strong leadership in fostering the development of more protective EMF guidelines, encouraging precautionary measures, and educating the public about health risks.”
In recognition of Dr. Paterson’s work, and of Area D Director Tom Siddon’s Resolution calling for a moratorium on smart meter installation being passed and sent on to provincial authorities , please join us after the presentation to enjoy music in the park next to the community centre. Roxy’s will be on site offering summer fare for lunch.
