Cell phones were great. We could make and receive calls anywhere and any time.
Smart phones are very different. This are basically portable desktop computers that can do EVERYTHING your desire. Things like view every Cat or Dog video, Video chat with your 10 friends all day, text to your friends about everything that you are doing like going shopping, or walking in the park, or watching TV. They really care what you are doing with your life.
The heavy use of Smart Phones is thought to require 50 to 100 times the cell tower capacity than the old cell phones required and this means that the cell phone companies MUST install more and more towers to keep up with the demand. And this is the reason why the push is on for micro cell towers to be installed on every street in every residential area in every city in Canada and the US. The advent of the new 5G technology supports this roll out. And 5G radiation may be similar to the airport X-Ray machines that are now thought to cause cancer.
So, dear people, research and understand what is going on and if you believe that this might not be a good evolution of technology then DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Please.

Wakeup Everyone, If this bill passes in California then this will make it much more difficult for those of us in the rest of the USA and in Canada to stop this massive increase in the Electro Pollution by all forms of RFR. This is VERY VERY Serious because high levels of RFR have been shown to cause many serious effects.

If RF-EMF radiation does cause bacteria to become resistant to antibiotics then we may have a very very serious issue to deal with. We use antibiotics to cure many illnesses AND to protect the health of the animals that provide us with their meat.

Abstract
Mobile phones and Wi-Fi radiofrequency radiation are among the main sources of the exposure of the general population to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF).
Previous studies have shown that exposure of microorganisms to RF-EMFs can be associated with a wide spectrum of changes ranged from the modified bacterial growth to the alterations of the pattern of antibiotic resistance.
Our laboratory at the non-ionizing department of the Ionizing and Non-ionizing Radiation Protection Research Center has performed experiments on the health effects of exposure to animal models and humans to different sources of electromagnetic fields such as cellular phones, mobile base stations, mobile phone jammers, laptop computers, radars, dentistry cavitrons, magnetic resonance imaging, and Helmholtz coils. On the other hand, we have previously studied different aspects of the challenging issue of the ionizing or non-ionizing radiation-induced alterations in the susceptibility of microorganisms to antibiotics.
In this study, we assessed if the exposure to 900 MHz GSM mobile phone radiation and 2.4 GHz radiofrequency radiation emitted from common Wi-Fi routers alters the susceptibility of microorganisms to different antibiotics. The pure cultures ofListeria monocytogenes and Escherichia coli were exposed to RF-EMFs generated either by a GSM 900 MHz mobile phone simulator and a common 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi router. It is also shown that exposure to RF-EMFs within a narrow level of irradiation (an exposure window) makes microorganisms resistant to antibiotics. This adaptive phenomenon and its potential threats to human health should be further investigated in future experiments. Altogether, the findings of this study showed that exposure to Wi-Fi and RF simulator radiation can significantly alter the inhibition zone diameters and growth rate for L monocytogenes and E coli. These findings may have implications for the management of serious infectious diseases.

Cellphone companies are placing antennae in residential areas without warning.
This is a CBC story from 2012 October illustrating the problems that citizens are having with the bully tactics of the cell phone companies.
Now is 2017 and similar tactics are being done by the cell phone companies as they are pushing the installation of SMALL CELL antennae on existing wooden telephone/power poles. Every street and every home is now becoming exposed to high levels of RFR – microwave radiation.
