1) The accusations against smeter manufacturers continue in Florida. As happened in BC when BC Hydro hired Corix, a Florida utility company hired unqualified workers to remove analogs and replace them with smeters. Electrical Engineers warned that improper installation could result in “hot sockets” that could explode, cause fires, damage appliances, etc.
My fire report confirmed that smeter fires had occurred, providing complete documentation, but no one cared — not BCUC, not BC Hydro, not Premier Horgan, not Energy Minister Dix…. no one even acknowledged receipt of the report. And we have no recourse because of the Clean Energy Act.

11th Circuit considers renewing smart meter lawsuit against Honeywell
The Minnesota-based corporate giant has so far dodged penalties for alleged improper replacement of electric meters in Florida homes.
“Karen Santiago and Deborah Mozina brought the negligence complaint against the corporate giant in 2016, years after Florida Power and Light Company hired Honeywell technicians to switch out analog electric meters with the digital electric meters. The homeowners alleged these workers, who were not certified electricians, did not properly install the new meters and provided for the possibility of “hot sockets” that could damage the electrical system of the entire home….
“How in the world is Honeywell allowed … to take someone else’s property?” Luck asked. “You can’t get around the trespass laws and theft laws, just because a court says you can do it. The question is if the court has the power to do what you want them to do.””
2) Smeters continue to be installed in the USA (and perhaps in Canada in some areas) because they are integral to the new grid system which is wireless. FYI, I’m pretty sure the picture of the burned smeter is from a fire in BC. I wonder how many of the “legacy” meters still in use are analogs? In 2010, BC Hydro and FortisBC said analogs were no longer available even though they were still being sold widely in many states.
US smart meter penetration continues steady growth, tops 100M in operation: FERC
For the fourth consecutive year the number of advanced meters installed on the United States electric grid increased by approximately 8 million.
“Advanced meters in operation represent more than 64% of the 159.7 million meters in the United States, FERC said. There is some variance by census division and customer class but “estimated advanced meter penetration rates nationwide for each of the residential, commercial, and industrial customer classes were greater than 50% in 2020,” the assessment concluded.
Advanced metering is widely considered foundational to the efficient and reliable management of the electric grid, particularly as more end uses like transportation and heating and cooling are electrified.”
3) The industry is looking at wider use of 5G from the 600 MHz range up to the higher RF ranges while introducing 6G technology which plans on using 3-6 GHz ranges which will require greater “macro-cell” (aka cell towers) dispersement. Other users of spectrum, e.g TV, radio, will be revisited to ensure that they do not interfere with wider cellular use of the spectrum.
Setting the stage for World Radio Conference in 2023
“About a year from now, between November 20 and December 15, 2023, Dubai will host the next ITU World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC), WRC-23, following a four-year study cycle period. You may wonder, “Why is this important to us?” To put it simply, ITU WRC-23 is where spectrum for further 5G advancements will be decided and the spectrum foundation for 6G will be set.
The upcoming WRC-23 is considering a number of mid- and low-frequency ranges important for the mobile industry for both 5G growth and the further development of 6G (or IMT-2030, as the ITU calls it). High-priority topics for the telecom industry concern the mobile use of the 3.3-3.8 GHz and 6 GHz ranges, and the revision of the UHF band 470-960 MHz. Beside these 5G-related items, the WRC-23 is also the decisive conference on the most important topic that will impact the mobile industry in the long-term, i.e., study spectrum for 6G under future agenda items for the WRC-27, focusing on the potential range of 7-15 GHz. This is essential for successful and cost-efficient 6G rollout during the 2030s with both expanded coverage and capacity via macro grid deployment.”

It’s come to my attention that Girl Scouts have been encouraged to explore the benefits of cell towers/5G and related technologies and may even earn a uniform patch from their project.
Any statements from tech manufacturers or providers saying that 5G/Internet of Things/cell towers are safe is FALSE.
Girl Scouts should be focusing on how to educate themselves and others on how to protect their health and environment against this harmful radiation.
Many thousands of global scientists, doctors and other professions with vast amounts of clinical proof state that any radiation given off from cell towers and their radio equipment, 4 and 5G, cell phones and all electronics are extremely harmful to all life forms. The only benefits to these technologies is convenience for the consumer, surveillance, monitoring and revenue from the providers, and revenue from the medical industry because all radiation is a carcinogen.
