1) The NDP convention is scheduled for Nov. 3-5 at the Victoria Conference Centre. The times and agenda are not yet available to delegates but as soon as they are, I will share with you. This is an opportunity for us to demonstrate that we are concerned about this invasive, expensive and dangerous “smart” grid. The NDP has lots on its plate but they haven’t even given this problem a crumb of attention. I have yet to receive an acknowledgement of my 3 years of information showing that:

1 – indeed there have been smart meter failures and fires;
2 – no one is tracking. It’s “if you don’t look, you won’t find”;
3 – the NDP is using the same approach as the Liberals. Ignore and hope they will go away. We aim our criticism at BC Hydro, the Liberals and the meters, and maybe some NDP will see an opportunity to find an issue into which he or she can sink some teeth.
I hope that, if you are in the area, you will consider joining us at the Conference Centre Nov. 4 & 5 (perhaps Nov. 3, too, once I get the agenda). We need signs, I’ll have some flyers but more would be good. Please let me know if you plan on joining us.

2) Here is the link re. the Ontario power surge that was missing in last night’s update. How can any utility, public utility commission or politician think these are safe? Anyone with a smeter should keep a fire extinguisher handy.

Hydro One replaced upwards of 70 Smart Meters that blew out in a power surge on Eureka Street on Thursday, October 31st. Some of the meters reportedly caught fire, while others were blown off houses completely, leaving bare wires dangling.
