2015-06-22 MP May pushing for open access to scientific research

  • Elizabeth May works for open access to government-funded research.

Ms. May stated:    “My bill will ensure that no prime minister can ever bury government science again. While this problem is not new, the Harper years have seen a shocking burial of evidence into places where Canadians will never see it. The work our scientists do is too important to be hidden from view, simply because it is inconvenient to the Prime Minister’s agenda. The challenges we face require an open and transparent engagement with the facts.””

  • Not a smart meter issue, but it is about US military war games, not EMR like those planned for the Olympic Peninsula, but equally disturbing:

3)   Another example of scientific fraud.  Dr. Lerchl has long denied that any biological effects were possible and, as this article says, was not above ruining reputations to support the status quo. Which makes his recent study all the more significant – he confirmed, perhaps by accident, that RF exposure exacerbates cancer cells.

Subject: You are being exploited, misinformed, deceived and lied to by Health Canada and Industry Canada.

And Dr. Perry Kendall is not protecting any of us – including you and your families!

Dear elected official,

How much more evidence do you need before you will finally speak out for those who elected you to protect them from today’s corrupt Health Canada, Industry Canada, our pathetically incompetent and conflicted PHO, Dr. Perry Kendall, and the all-powerful wireless, telecom and electric power utilities, all of whom are pushing their dangerous, untested wireless radio products on an unsuspecting and defenseless public?

You need to realize that each of you – and your families – are also guinea pigs in this, what non-industry scientists the world over know is, the largest unauthorized technological ‘experiment’ in human history! No one can refute this evidence!

Subject: Smart meters concern

To:  Brad Bishop,
Meter Deployment Manager, BC Hydro Smart metering Program.

I am in receipt of your letter dated June 2  2015 and have prepared the following response and concerns:

Presently we have an analog BC Hydro billing meter and since its inception have agreed to and paid the Legacy meter charge levied against our Account # —-.  Your letter states in short that you must have access to the billing meter to exchange it and that if access is not provided you will disconnect the power to my residence without any prior notice.  Your letter mentions that there must be proper clearance around the meter in order to allow a meter exchange, for the record the meter in question has a wooden box around it and the underground service pipe, this is to enhance the appearance of it, the front face of the meter is in plain view for reading purposes. Finally your letter states that if the service is disconnected , a reconnection fee must be paid in full before service can be restored.

What your letter does not say is: Why the billing meter is being changed in the first Place?  What type or style of meter will replace it? Will it be an analog style as previous or an attempt to replace it with a digital smart meter ?

What I find very disturbing with BC hydro is, on one hand as a professional Electrical contractor for the past 25 + years I have dealt with BC hydro on many new construction projects servicing my customers on new Electrical installations providing drawings, information as required working with the respective project coordinators from BC hydro, I have also been out to many emergency calls in the middle of the night meeting the hydro crews coming out to restore power to the customers. In both examples and many past experiences having being nothing but positive and professional, on the other hand to get a letter of this type which is somewhat intimidating leaves be to believe that this can’t be the same BC hydro that I know and have dealt with and continue to deal with in my professional career.

I have a number of concerns with the deployment of the smart meter program but will focus on the one that is of the most concern that  your smart meter carries NO Canadian Safety Standards (CSA) Certification for it.  Being involved with the Electrical Industry for as long as I have I am governed by the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)  The CEC is made up critical standards and codes that keep  installers, workers, consumers and their families safe from harm and has helped effectively address the safe installation of electrical equipment and appliances. CSA  on the other hand exists to develop standards as well, among the 57 different areas of specialization which includes those for Electrical and electronic equipment and industrial equipment. The CSA mark is a registered certification mark, and can only be applied by someone who is licensed or otherwise authorized to do so by the CSA.

My point is this, when I contract to perform a new Electrical installation it has to be installed as to conform to the latest edition of the CEC and any applicable rules and regulations pertaining to BC Hydro Secondary metering guidelines handbook. Secondly any electrical equipment associated with the installation has to bear the CSA certification mark, any electrical equipment associated with the installation specified by BC Hydro Secondary metering guide which is to be used to support the installation of the billing meter must also bear the CSA certification mark. So why is then the installation of the smart meter  which bears NO  CSA certification mark allowed to take place, let alone on my personnel residence.

BC Hydro’s  smart meter is defined as” Electrical Equipment”  and should be CSA certified as such. I know fully well that when it comes to BC Hydro and CSA certification approval it is one standard in general,  However when you talking BC Hydro and the smart meter there is no CSA certification mark which has created a double standard and a complete lack of electrical safety and integrity on their part.

Respectfully
