1) People who often have no identification, indicating they work for BC Hydro, are appearing at homes with no pre-notice, threatening to cut power if the person does not accept a smeter immediately. Some are being told (a lie) about the meter being a “digital, not a smeter”. Often the person is not told that the meter can be one with the transmitter turned off. The workers are often rude, very pushy and sometimes scaring people. When the power is cut, BC Hydro will bill $700 for reconnection – this is one of the changes to the Tariff that has not yet been approved but which BC Hydro is employing. One email I received from someone about an elderly, sick person in Mission is below.
Complaints should be lodged with:

There is no way unidentified strangers should be allowed to touch meters. Only professional BC Hydro employees qualified to do this job should be allowed to do an exchange. These strangers could be causing harm and even if they have been contracted by BC Hydro, how do you know who they are and if they are qualified? This is dangerous. This has happened in Victoria, Cobble Hill, Vancouver, Mission, and perhaps elsewhere. Please see one email below that shows just how ruthless these people are.
2) The cellphone lawsuit in the USA, on behalf of cellphone users who developed brain cancers, has been delayed but the lawyer for the plaintiffs believes it means more evidence can be provided.
“The decision by the District of Columbia Court of Appeals will further prolong the litigation, initially filed in 2001, as plaintiffs must now produce arguments on why previously submitted evidence should continue to be included under the new standard. Jeffrey Morganroth, a lawyer for the plaintiffs, said they wouldn’t back down, and that the ruling may even help get new testimony included.”

3) A doctor, who has worked on environmental health issues for many years, writes to the FCC recommending a halt to the proliferation of 5G wireless devices until it can be researched and only if it can be determined not to cause biological harm.
“For decades people did not understand that non-ionizing radiation could be harmful. The accumulated science of harm from wireless microwave radiation however has confirmed adverse biological and clinical effects. The biological and cellular effects include damage to DNA and mitochondria, stress protein synthesis, cellular damage to neurons, immune dysfunction, creation of reactive oxygen species, reduced melatonin, alternation of nerve cell junction.
Studies have linked similar microwave EMF from cell phones, cell towers, Wi Fi routers to cancer, endocrine disruption and reproductive harm. Science is not perfect but the weight of evidence including clinical studies of electrohypersensitivity has now confirmed there is no doubt of harm from wireless EMF radiation.”

Subject: Power Shut off in Mission
Hi Sharon
I am talking to xxx in Mission who had her power cut off by BCH because she would not let them into her house to install a Smart Meter. The meter base is IN her house facing her kitchen—yikes!
No one called her (no warning), BCH showed up and wanted to install the smart meter.
She has been paying the legacy fee for years. She has a diagnosis from a MD stating that she is EHS (she has a letter from her doctor). xxx struggles to get around due to a serious back injury and uses a cane, very sweet lady.
She has approached the office of Liberal MLA Simon Gibson, but could not speak with him directly.
xxx has renters in her home, it’s cold, dark and very uncomfortable. She has a generator but can only run it until 9pm. Thank god she has a wired landline to call me. I have suggested to her that she call the Opposition NDP, see if she can share her story, maybe work with the NDP to contact Hydro on her behalf. Failing that, the media, after all an election is coming up. She is thinking of calling a lawyer in the morning for advice.
Any thoughts to this latest bullying by BCH. Hope there is something up your sleeve. This BS has to stop.
Thanks Sharon
PS. As a side note, not long ago a BCH employee XXX said that under no circumstances should she have a Sm in her home. Today she asked to speak with that same man and was told he was fired???

Subject: whose science?
Dear Minister Philpott,
I am old enough to remember the public display of “tobacco science” (you were born when it was beginning), and I’m sure you are aware of the recently publicized “Harvard sugar science”.
So, as I read the letter below [she is referring to the Oct.18 letter I wrote to Philpott – https://stopsmartmetersbc.com/z/2016-10-19-a-letter-from-dix-re-corruption-in-bc-hydro/], two questions come to mind:
– How do you discriminate between tobacco and Harvard sugar “science” and independent science?
– And because there is so much independent science that indicates that RF (microwave) radiation is not safe, I also have to ask, do you support the Precautionary Principle?
I appreciate very much the convenience the wireless technology offers, but I also appreciate that our health care system is slowly eroding, we are told, because of expense. I would like to suggest that eliminating pesticide-laden produce and antibiotic-laced animal proteins from our diets and environmental hazards such as wireless technologies would eliminate many of the costs our health care system is facing today. We managed to control strictly the use of DDT, Thalidomide, lead paint, etc., so why can’t we more strictly control wireless technologies?
It would be so nice if Health Canada appeared to be more interested in the health of Canadians than the health of industries – it’s 2016!
ps. I understand there are over 60 recent studies at this website to encourage you to start protecting Canadians:

Subject: Dear Ms. Ross….
Wow, what a great deal for Hydro, and so LOUSY for the citizens of BC, who pay their salaries! Why do they get to disconnect power to people’s homes without notice? How come WE the people have to abide by the Tariff, but not the service provider?
What if BC Hydro disconnects power to someone that needs that power to survive??
It seems a very ‘one sided’ agreement, benefitting BC Hydro ONLY!! Isn’t the reconnect fee unreasonably HIGH??
Who is looking out for ‘we the people’?? The very people that PAY THEIR EXORBITANT SALARIES!!
Why is BCUC giving BC Hydro ‘carte blanche’ to do whatever they want, with no safeguards for ‘we the people’? If BC Hydro does damage someone’s home (while installing a smart meter for example) or their electronics, the citizens of BC could potentially be ‘out of pocket’ for thousands of dollars, and BC Hydro has NO RESPONSIBILITY WHATSOEVER to replace/repair those damages!?
It looks like BC Hydro, and the BCUC, could care LESS about the citizens they WORK FOR!! How about reworking the Tariff to make it FAIR for ALL the TAXPAYERS of BC!
Thank-you for your time, I would appreciate a non-automated reply.
