The exposure is cumulative, so if we can reduce the amounts to which we are exposed, our bodies can better handle the exposures we cannot control.

Thank you very much for investigating the smart meter program and reporting to the general public. Your article is a fine example of investigative journalism on a topic of great importance. As one example of costs for the smart meter program, we have had BC Hydro contractors in our small town for the last few days checking smart meters — the contractor was vague when I asked him why.
Please continue looking into the smart meters, especially regarding fires, security, privacy, safety, our charter rights to keep our analogues, BC Hydro business plan and projected vs. actual costs.
There is much information available especially from the Coalition to Stop Smart Meters. From what I have read, I see many cracks in the program, which I believe will eventually lead to one very big story. However, I am afraid the taxpayers will be left paying the bills which will grow larger and larger unless something is done to stop BC Hydro.

Comments: I do not support wireless communication at all. I have a cell phone that I rarely use, my computer is hard-wired as our laptops are as well. My phone service comes in over a cable as well. Wireless technology has been proven to be dangerous to the health and well being on all living creatures. Study after study have been published showing the dangers of wireless technology and it’s very bad health risks to all. Wireless tech takes some freedoms away from people who already have Electro hypersensitivity Disorder by all the Wi-Fi Hot Spots placed in restaurants, public buildings and now parks. I have other health problems and am a cancer survivor and this also affects thousands of people like me because we don’t want our cancers to return or have any other health problem get worse. RF has been proven to cross the blood brain barrier which doctors said for years was impossible. I suffer from this problem that is medically known as Chemo Brain. I have lost memories, I will say things that don’t make sense and I can’t get some words out and I get very frustrated. I was getting better until more wireless has been installed in our community and all of a sudden the problems are back. Especially not being able to finish a sentence because I can’t get the words out. Wireless communication of any kind is especially harmful to children. Their skulls are thinner and absorb massive amounts of RF radiation from use of cell phones. Wi-Fi in schools is causing illness in both teachers and children. Symptoms of Autism, behavioural changes, headaches and in one school in Ontario children ended up having to wear heart monitors and children were having heart attacks. I think you would agree that this review is taking far longer than is reasonable. I realize that this program’s “success” is in jeopardy, but lives and property are more important, I know you agree.
During the 6 months since I sent you the detailed information about the fires that have occurred, BC Hydro and Fortis BC have continued to install these fire hazards on more homes. A recall is in order and BCUC has the power to demand one.
If the BCUC is hampered by the government from doing its job, the public deserves to know. I look forward to receiving, at your earliest convenience, whatever information you are allowed to share with me.
