- BC Hydro is trying to refuse to provide information to which we have a right – what happened at fires and incidents that were on BC Hydro’s list I included in my Fire Report. https://stopsmartmetersbc.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/BC-Hydro-FOI-Fires-3.pdf See the stream of emails below, in “Letters”.
- In Australia: Health problems due to Smart Meter force family to move.
- In Maryland, someone was able to get the smart meter removed and the analog returned, it cost $75, plus $17 a month opt out fee. We’re still #1 in costs. Plus they can have an analog.
- REMINDER: A significant Bill, C-648, asking that cell phone manufacturers be required to put health warnings on phones, saying basically what is already hidden in their manuals, which go unread. Only 15 MPs have signed on to support this bill. Please write your MP and ask for him/her to support this, and if they refuse, ask them why. Just as with cigarettes, the public has a right to be informed about the hazards involved with their decisions. The bill and list of MPs can be found at:
- Privacy concerns about the “smart” devices that are ubiquitous – on appliances, electronics and on the walls of our homes. Our personal lives must be protected by refusing these new devices until the privacy-invading “smart” element is removed.
- Tesla plans on having batteries that will make going off the grid much more feasible.

Mr. MacDonald,
No. it doesn’t. Why are you playing games with me?
You know the information for which I am asking is something to which the public has a right. I and the many thousands of members of the Coalition deserve to know if and why smart meters are overheating, burning or otherwise failing.
The information I am asking for involves no third party other than the customer who experienced the fire or incident. Simply redact the customer’s name.
BC Hydro has or should have easy and ready access to documentation of incidents that involved a device which is being put on everyone’s home. It’s been 2 months since my initial request. Please provide a full and complete response without further obfuscation.
Regards,
Sharon Noble

Dear Mr. MacDonald.
On Jan. 20, 2015 you sent me the attached acknowledgement which pertains to the FOI below. In the response you said third parties have to be consulted.
See Jan. 20, 2015 letter from BC HYDRO here
Could you please tell me who these third parties might be? Also, could you please tell me when I might expect to receive these records?
Thank you.

Sharon Noble
