Subject: Wireless Radiation – The Scourge of Mankind
Those who understand or can accept that radio / microwave frequency radiation (“radiation”) is harmful to all living things, including humans, applaud UBCM’s enlightened leadership, as is evidenced in your November, 2011 Resolution, in which you requested a Moratorium be placed on wireless Smart Meters. Regrettably you were ignored as were some 60 or so communities throughout the province. However, three years have now passed and, thanks to the Internet, more and more people throughout North America, in many countries of Europe, in Great Britain and across Australia are realizing that their governments have allowed themselves to be duped and/or corrupted – as happened with tobacco, asbestos, Thalidomide, etc – not just by their own industrial sectors this time, but by the frighteningly corrupt U.S. military / government / industrial complex! As a result, entire populations everywhere are being unlawfully irradiated with pernicious continuous, low-level, pulsed, non-thermal microwave radiation that is emitted by all of today’s wireless devices, e.g., baby monitors, Smart Meters, Wi-Fi routers, cell phones, cordless phone, cell phone towers, etc. We are also all exposed to the equally-dangerous magnetic and electric fields emitted by today’s powerline frequency (60 Hz) household electricity, household electric appliances, overhead transmission and distribution lines and substations, etc. www.bioinitiative.org
For irrefutable evidence showing that non industry-paid scientists globally – and at least three presidents of the United States – have known that this radiation is harmful to all living things, see attachment. There, readers will quickly see that our own Health Canada and BC’s Provincial Health Officer are dangerously out of step with most other countries of the world – thereby putting our health and well-being – and that of all future generations – at great risk!
At this moment, all British Columbians – including UBCM’s member communities – are literally having forced upon them dangerous levels of toxic pulsed non-thermal radiation, which no one can see, smell, taste, touch or hear – yet it is everywhere! And this is happening 24/7/365 in perpetuity!

Next, one needs to understand that, in addition to Health Canada, there are four major agencies in the world that establish what are called radiation “Exposure-Limits,” which are meant to be ‘safe’ limits of radiation: 1) the WHO or World Health Organization, 2) ICNIRP or the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection, 3) IEEE or the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, whose internal committee, ICES or the International Committee on Electromagnetic Safety – the key members of which are the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, Motorola, Nokia, Siemens, Alcatel-Lucent, and Bell, and 4) the FCC or Federal Communications Commission – which has NO scientists; its five Commissioners are appointed by the President of the USA. Yet today it is THE body in the U.S. tasked with establishing ‘safe’ radiation limits for the USA! Because it has no scientists of its own, FCC simply adopts the ‘safety’ Exposure Limits set by the corrupt ICES, which FCC then promulgates as the USA’s ‘safety’ limits.
One needs to realize that there are two categories of non-ionizing radiation: a) THERMAL (that which heats the skin, such as that which microwave ovens emit) and b) NON-THERMAL (that which does not heat the skin).

Since 2008, CWTA have been astonishingly successful in convincing governments across Canada – certainly British Columbia’s two levels of government and our Provincial Health Officer – that today’s wireless products are all safe, when honest scientists around the world know this is absolutely untrue! To understand how CWTA could have accomplished this (given that some European countries started banning cell phones and pulling Wi-Fi out of schools and libraries as early as 2003) one needs to realize that CWTA’s President & CEO is none other than Bernard Lord, QC, ONB! Mr. Lord is fluently bilingual, a former two-time premier of New Brunswick (1999-2006) and is reputedly on the short-list of candidates to succeed Prime Minister Stephen Harper when the latter vacates his office. Hopefully, the above provides UBCM with a better understanding of how, by consciously not heeding honest, eminent scientists from around the world, Health Canada, the Government of BC and its Provincial Health Officer have placed – and continue to place – all of us at great risk! Their dereliction of duty, in fact, amounts to a Crime Against Humanity and an absolute violation of our Charter of Rights and Freedoms!
For this reason, I am appealing to the Union of BC Municipalities to realize – however reluctantly – that you cannot and must not remain passive in light of today’s unprecedented tragedy. As your organization is the only large, apolitical entity with province-wide stature possessing the integrity, credibility and clout – if exercised – only UBCM can force this ignorant, deaf and uncompromising Government of BC to immediately stop this cruel and inhumane treatment of its own defenseless people!
For the sake of democracy – for all Canadians – I urge UBCM to share this email and attachment with each of your provincial counterparts across Canada and with the Federal Confederation of Municipalities, FCM.
For the sake of all the people in B.C., which includes all your member communities, I urge you to demand of the BC Government that it immediately:
- Replace the incumbent Provincial Health Officer with an honest, incorruptible, conscientious and qualified medical doctor whose unwavering first priority will be to protect the health and general well-being of the public;
- Impose the Precautionary Principle across the province on all wireless devices: i.e, “Take prudent action when there is sufficient scientific evidence (but not necessarily absolute proof) that inaction could lead to harm and where action can be justified on reasonable judgments of cost-effectiveness”; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precautionary_principle
- Put the onus on Industry henceforth to subject their technologies to pre-market testing by independent non-industry-affiliated scientists to prove the technologies are safe before they can be permitted for use/sale within the province;
- Stop any further installations of wireless Smart Meters anywhere in the province, and replace Smart Meters now installed with analogue meters or meters not having radio devices inside;
- Direct both electric utilities to stop any further wireless radio / microwave frequency transmissions within residential areas or within 2,000 meters of private homes and schools;
- Direct both electric utilities to stop charging customers what amounts to extortionist fees for refusing to accept wireless smart meters on their homes;
- Direct both electric utilities to return any and all such extortionist fees to those who paid them within 60 days;
- Direct all wireless and telecom companies within the province to immediately reduce power levels on all of their radiating products by at least 100 times until such time as the provisions of the BioInitiative 2007 Report can be implemented (referring to radiation Exposure Limits, which may require further reduction in due course); www.bioinitiative.org
- Direct all wireless and telecom companies within the province that, (effective some practicable date) their products must each display in large print clearly readable labels telling the customer/user how much radiation the device emits (the SAR value);
- Inform both electric utilities that no wireless radio / microwave frequency transmitting devices will ever again be permitted attached to, or placed on, or in any residential building in the province;
- Recommend that all daycare centres, schools, hospitals, nursing homes and all other public buildings in the province immediately turn off Wi-Fi routers and, as expeditiously as possible, replace them with hard-wired routers.
- In light of the irrefutable evidence that all radio / microwave frequency radiation is harmful to humans and all living things, initiate negotiations with Industry Canada to have them transfer authority over the siting of cell phone and all other radio frequency transmitting towers, and the power levels each is permitted to radiate, to the Government of British Columbia.
In closing, I endorse completely the words of the United Kingdom’s globally-respected, retired scientist and naval electronic weapons expert, Barrie Trower, who said: “This industry and those parts of governments which are encouraging them will be responsible for killing more people than all those killed in the entire 2nd World War!
