1) Great news!! Dr. David Carpenter Reinstated!! Hopefully, the publicity this got will prevent it from happening to anyone else. I must admit, I am confused by the statement that the university and Dr. Carpenter will enter into a “conflict management plan” to ensure future activities comply with “all applicable laws and policies.” Maybe this should mean that Dr. Carpenter doesn’t donate his future fees to the university.

It was just over two weeks ago that the Albany Times Union ran a front page story about Dr. David Carpenter being kicked out of the classroom after a series of Freedom of Information Requests filed by Monsanto.
We all mobilized. Tonight we submitted the attached letter from over 2,000 people. We zoomed. We researched. We strategized. We wrote. We called. And now, we won.
More importantly Dr. David Carpenter and academic freedom won.
This evening, Dr. Carpenter reached an agreement, as outlined in this Albany Times Union article.
