We not only invoke EU fundamental rights but we ask the national judge to ask the European Court of Justice 3 prejudicial questions.

Thank you for providing us with this information.
May I ask, who in East Sooke will benefit from this Global Network Transport’s industrial communication tower, when their business is transportation?
If East Sooke is reduced to serve international transport as a communication hub, in what way will residents benefit?
Is the CRD willing to sacrifice people’s health for a few measly dollars, as ALL levels of microwave radiation pollution, results in biological effects?
Will this blight in the landscape be conducive to the fragile biodiversity of insects, pollinators, birds and wildlife in East Sooke?
I communicate with EMF scientists around the world, including a Canadian Government Entomologist, who is well informed of the devastating biological effects E-Smog pollution has on insects.
I am quite certain that I could arrange a Zoom meeting between CRD decision makers, and with scientists, epidemiologists, including the before mentioned Entomologist, and other EMF experts. I might also be able to have former Microsoft President Canada, Frank Clegg, join this event as well.
Before any decision is reached at the CRD, it is vital that whoever is involved in this decision making process is fully informed of the inherent risk to biodiversity and humanity. Without this prior knowledge, there can be no informed consent.
I hope the CRD is aware that Core One is a lobby firm, who is not independent, as their income depends on the success of selling communication technology to uninformed councils and communities.
When Core One hosts an information event, they will not reveal to the concerned public that we are dealing with microwave transmitters emitting harmful, unnatural pulsed microwave radiation, a.k.a. E-Smog pollution.
They will certainly omit informing the public, and yourself, of the recent US Government funded, 10 year NTP cell phone study, and the 10 year Ramazzini Studies on cell tower radiation, which created a shock wave among scientists, which include members of IARC/WHO, who are calling for an immediate reclassification from the current 2B cancer causing classification to a known 1A, human cancer causing agent.
Anthony B. Miller MD, a longtime advisor to the World Health Organization and senior advisor to Environmental Health Trust (EHT), has issued a statement that the recently released findings from the $25 million NIH/NIEHS National Toxicology Program (NTP) cell phone radiofrequency radiation carcinogenicity studies combined with human epidemiology studies “conclusively confirms that radiofrequency radiation is a category 1 human carcinogen.”
The telecom industry is following in the footsteps of Big Tobacco who, for decades, ruthlessly suppressed and attacked all science, which did not speak in their favour.

Industry attempts to steer attention away from biological radiation effects, but in my work as a certified EMF Consultant, I am contacted by people from all walks of life, of all ages, who are unwell, suffering from a variety of health issues to which the medical community has no answers as they are not trained in this field.
I have a friend who fled to East Sooke and also know other sensitive people who moved to remote regions, as their health was seriously impacted by the ever expanding E-Smog pollution we are inundated with, 24/7. The company that would own the infrastructure is 1291956 BC Ltd. The drawings submitted as part of the application indicate that the name of the company is Global Network Transport. The agent is Core One Consulting.
The proponent has disclosed that the purpose of the tower is for research and testing data transmission using “mature technologies”.
I have attached an elevation drawing of the tower that shows one micro-wave antenna and two flat antennas: one at the mid-point and one at the top. This arrangement may prevent co-locating on a commercial carrier’s tower, although I’m not an expert so this is entirely speculative. The decision to require co-location would be made by Industry Canada.
From the information provided to Regional Parks in response to their questions I can tell you that the existing Rogers tower is 36 m tall, the surrounding tree canopy is 38 m tall and the proposed tower is 45 m tall.
The closest dwelling is on the same property and appears to be around 360 m from the tower. The next closet is on Copper Mine Road, approximately 390 m away.
The health and safety aspects of radio emissions are the jurisdiction of Health Canada. The role of CRD staff in this process is to advise neighbouring residents of the proposal, to receive comments from the public and forward them the proponent for a response, and to present this information to the JdF Land Use Committee for a recommendation as to whether a letter of concurrence should be sent to Industry Canada and the proponent. The Land Use Committee will not be considering this item until sometime after the local election, likely in the New Year.
