1) They fought a good fight, as did we, but sadly, even though the evidence is overwhelming that RF and EMF from these smeters is dangerous, that privacy is invaded, that cybersecurity is threatened, and that there is no cost benefit, the city has been overruled. But there is an opt out and I’ve confirmed that people are able to keep their analogs.
Despite what BC Hydro told us a decade and more ago, analogs are still in use in many parts of the USA — so they must be available. Those of us who have opted out are still paying more than these people will — $75 initial fee and $10 a month for 3 years. It’s time we campaigned for the fees/extortion to be eliminated.
After a decade of resistance, Sebastopol relenting on SmartMeters
”For nearly a decade, propelled by activists concerned about long-term exposure to certain frequencies of radio waves, the City of Sebastopol has delayed the roll-out of new, high-tech utility meters. This week, years after state regulators ruled municipalities had no jurisdiction and couldn’t block them, Pacific Gas and Electric began installing them. That’s left some locals with a mix of fear and outrage. ”
2) The energy problem in Europe may force the telecoms to admit how much energy wireless communications use. And what about the huge data centres?
“Gone In 30 Minutes” — Next On Europe’s Doomsday List: Collapse Of Cell Phone Networks
“It’s not just heating that could be missing across Europe this winter: cell phones may be the next to go. That’s because if power cuts or energy rationing knocks out parts of the mobile networks across the region, mobile phones could go dark around Europe this winter according to the latest doomsday reporting from Reuters.”
3) With all the information about the Havana Syndrome, this article about the events in the US Embassy in Moscow in the 1960s and 1970s might be interesting. Note the very low levels of RF measured. This is far less than is emitted by smeters, Wi-Fi modems, or cellphones, yet people became ill. And they were not irradiated 24/7/365.

Background to the Lilienfeld study and the “Moscow signal”:
“In the early 1960s it was discovered that from approximately November 1962 the Soviets had been beaming highly focused microwaves directly into the US Embassy in Moscow at an estimated power density that ranged from .005 mW/cm2 to .018 mW/cm2.” Please note: .005 mW/cm2 = 5 microwatts/cm2.
