2022-06-08 Evidence that gas smeters are dangerous submitted to BCUC

Only one item tonight. You will need lots of time if you want to read all of this information.

As you know Fortis BC has applied to the BCUC for approval of its plan to replace all the analog gas meters with “smart” meters. A few of us have been working to convince the BCUC panel that makes the decision that this is dangerous to our health and our environment. One April 14 supporting evidence was submitted by us (non-experts) and 3 experts: Drs. Magda Havas, Anthony Miller and Paul Heroux. Fortis/Exponent and other interveners submitted questions about the evidence, and responses were provided on June 2.

The process will continue and you can still support our effort by providing a “Letter of Comment” which could be about health, security, privacy, costs, or any other relevant issue. The contact information for the Commission Secretary is at the bottom of this link.
