2022-04-12 Cutting of copper lines to support 5G networks

1) The telecoms are using the rationale/excuse that copper lines must be retired to extend fiber optic cable to support 5G networks– “A BOON FOR WIRELESS“. The fibre, as we know, is needed for the network of microcells, and removing the copper line encourages people to get cell phones.

AT&T wants to cut its copper footprint in half by 2025

“Our teams in these network areas are able to reinvest their time towards building out our next generation fiber and 5G networks, the growth platform for the future,” he said….

In addition to boosting AT&T’s broadband business, Robertson said the fiber rollout is expected to be a boon for wireless….

If you assume about three postpaid phone users per household, it’s clear there’s significant yield here, especially when you consider we have 4 million fiber households where we still don’t have wireless.”

2) Telus is doing a lot of things involving incomplete information or plain deception regarding “giving us fiber optic cable”.  One member said that Telus had put a modem connected to fiber in his home saying it was “wired” and the RF level increased dramatically. Obviously, Telus had put in a wireless modem. Check the modems Telus brings to your homes. Make sure the one you get is truly wired and has no Wi-Fi capability.

We still have a couple of issues: the main one, IMHO, is that the digital phone will have a battery that will not last through power outages that last longer than a couple of hours, leaving many of us without any way to call 911 in case of emergency. The other issue is DE (Dirty Electricity) from the conversion box, where fiber is converted to electricity. I suggest that the failure of Telus to fulfill its obligation to provide 911 service is a reason to refuse the digital phone.

Telus is using “pure fiber” with no metal backbone to connect to the home, which is good.

The fiber converters will be either Nokia or Alcatel. These are the models: I-240G-B, G-240G-A, I240, Small form-factor pluggable (SFP) ONT G-010S-A, Huawei HG8240S and Huawei HG8240u. I was told that all of the converters will be capable of connecting to the homes wires except for the small form-factor ONT.

Here are the specs that I’ve been able to find for those capable of being wired. Personally, I will not accept Huawei devices in my home and believe that Telus should not be allowed to partner with Huawei in developing the 5G grid.

Professor Yury Grigoriev also said: “The human brain and the nervous system tissues directly perceive EMF and react irrespective of its intensity, and in certain cases it depends on EMF modulation. The current standards are out dated and inadequate. Urgent action is needed to curb the negative impact from this physical agent.” He also said: Man conquered the Black Plague, but he has created new problems – EMF pollution.
