2021-10-27 A challenge to the Telecom Act in the US

1) A newsletter from Arthur Firstenberg. You should know before you read this that some very knowledgeable people in one of the US groups to which I subscribe are questioning some of the details Arthur has stated re. the FCC’s indemnification of telecoms against lawsuits associated with injury, death or property damage.

In Canada, ISED indemnifies telecoms from lawsuits so long as their products’ emissions are below Safety Code 6 levels. This means that cell phone companies that make and sell the many phones with emissions exceeding SC 6 levels could be sued. Hopefully, they will be, very soon.

PETITION FILED IN U.S. SUPREME COURT YESTERDAY

“The Santa Fe Alliance for Public Health and Safety filed a petition yesterday afternoon asking the U.S. Supreme Court to rule on a threat to the very existence of this country, and this world….

We are asking the Supreme Court to rule on two related questions:

1. Does Section 704 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 violate the right of access to courts guaranteed by the First Amendment of the Constitution?

2. Does “environmental effects” mean “health effects” in Section 704?”

3) From a member: Non-EMF but interesting, especially the website information re. clean energy. German cities have bought thousands of e-buses, but recent fires are causing some cities to stop using them, at least temporarily.

Several German cities halt use of e-buses following series of unresolved cases of fire

“The potential risks of electromobility are being closely examined in Germany after a third major fire in a bus depot apparently caused by an electric bus. Public transport companies are taking action after the electric bus allegedly triggered a fire in Stuttgart last week, newspaper Die Welt reports.”
