1) Another govt official (a former senior one) speaks out about the failure of the current FCC guidelines to protect wildlife, as well as humans. This biologist compares the lack of action with regard to RF radiation, especially given the excellent recent research, to what happened re. tobacco and smoking. Lobbyists, pressure on politicians from industry, and money flowing to the government’s scientists result in scientific evidence being ignored and hidden from the public. How can this be legal? This question most likely will be asked during the lawsuit being brought by EHT against the FCC. This type of information should be shared with environmental groups.
A BRIEFING MEMORANDUM: What We Know, Can Infer, and Don’t Yet Know about Impacts from Thermal and Non-thermal Non-ionizing Radiation to Birds and Other Wildlife — for Public Release
“Most of the biological-effects studies of RFR that have been conducted since the 1980s were under non-thermal conditions, including the most recent NTP (2016) studies. In studies using isolated cells, the ambient temperature during exposure was generally well controlled. In most animal studies, the RFR intensity used usually did not cause a significant increase in body temperature in the test animals. Most scientists consider non-thermal effects as well established, even though the implications are not fully understood….
At present, given industry and agency intransigence (with the exception of the Interior Department and Department of Commerce both which are now beginning to address non-thermal radiation issues), massive amounts of money being spent to prevent addressing impacts from non-thermal radiation — not unlike the battles over tobacco and smoking — and a lack of significant, dedicated and reliable funding to advance independent field studies and better understand the etiology and consequences of impacts, we are left with few options. Currently, other than to proceed using the precautionary approach and keep emissions as low as reasonably achievable, we are at loggerheads in advancing meaningful guidelines, policies and regulations that address non-thermal effects. The good news: there appears to be an awakening at least within a significant segment the scientific community to the realization that these issues must be addressed — for the health of humans, wildlife and our environment — and DOI and the Department of Commerce are also beginning to address non-thermal effects to migratory birds.”
2) Dr. Hardell has published a report on a rare, but an increasingly frequent disease, on which there have been very few studies to date. As with cellphones, he could be leading the way on making another connection between RF radiation and a serious effect involving the central nervous system.
Central nervous system lymphoma and radiofrequency radiation – A case report and incidence data in the Swedish Cancer Register on non-Hodgkin lymphoma
“No etiologic factor has clearly been defined to explain the increasing incidence of brain lymphoma. However, it has occurred during a time period when RF radiation to the brain from wireless phones has increased. Based on human epidemiology studies and laboratory studies there is evidence that malignant lymphoma may be related to exposure to RF radiation. This case-report stimulates the hypothesis that the increasing incidence of PCNSL may be caused by exposure to RF fields.
The effects from RF radiation through DNA damage and decreased DNA repair, by oxidative stress in the cells and increase in pro-inflammatory cytokines are some possible pathways that may influence the immune system and the lymphocytes.”
3) A member just learned today that a CREST tower is being erected in the Highlands area of Victoria, on private property. When she asked the city’s office if there had been a notice in the newspaper or a public meeting, he said she should speak with the fire department. The fire captain told her it wasn’t needed. She then went to the mayor who also said it wasn’t needed.
She is pursuing this because, according to ISED policy, any new cellular tower must be announced in the local newspaper and a public information meeting must be held. CREST towers are being erected in many communities (there was an announcement of a public meeting next week in Metchosin and a few months ago, another CREST tower was planned for downtown Ganges on Salt Spring Island but was moved to a more distant location after public pressure).

4) In 2000, the CIA released a number of documents pertaining to studies done in USSR, many on human subjects. I have only skimmed the first few pages but on page 20/120 the conclusion of one study is that healthy individuals exposed to millimeter waves for 60 minutes had noticeable changes to the cortex of their brains. The millimeter wave was 7.1mm long (which I calculate to be a frequency of 42 Ghz) and the power density was very high, 5000 uW/cm2. The study found that some individuals felt tingling and other sensations after a very short time of exposure. There could be some very interesting info in these studies and I hope others will read them and share any significant findings. I will attempt to do the same thing.
