3) A safer, faster, more secure option to 5G is fiber optic cable that is brought right to the home. Dr. Timothy Schoechle has been promoting the concept of community owned fiber optic networks as a sound investment which would allow the residents to control their access to the internet –– not the telecoms.

Several communities here in BC, with the help of Oona McOuat, are investigating this and federal funding could be available to help with such projects. Now is certainly the time for taking this step before 5G infrastructure is laid out in your area. See:

Below is a map showing approximately 900 communities in the US which have community-owned networks. Unfortunately, 19 states are trying to make this endeavour difficult, if not impossible — protecting the telecoms’ interest.

4) Good news from Monterey, California. More people are becoming aware of smeters and don’t want them. A couple of days ago, Nina Beety advised the following and said there were comments from the public about people being made ill by their smeters.
“Tonight the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District voted 6-1 to withdraw its support for AMI Smart water meters. Smart Meters are proposed by California American Water Company in its general rate case at the CPUC. The District is a party in the proceeding A.19-07-004, and previously had supported Smart Meters.
As a result of tonight’s vote, MPWMD no longer supports AMI for the water district and will be communicating that at the CPUC. In addition, if the CPUC was to approve smart meters regardless, the District also voted to withdraw its support for charging any fee to customers who don’t want smart meters. In other words, the District doesn’t want customers to pay anything to refuse smart water meters.
