2019-12-14 Lawsuit in US charges telecoms with misuse of trillions $$

1) There is a lawsuit in the US charging that the leading telecoms have misused trillions of $$ that were to be used to provide fiber optic networks across the US. Instead, the money has been used for other services and now a 5G grid is being built — far from the promises made a couple of decades ago. I have no idea if this could have any bearing to us in Canada, but perhaps if the US 5G grid is delayed or stopped, the push for the grid in Canada would not be as great.

5G Summit Blockbuster

“Today’s update is a game-changing interview with Bruce Kushnick and Scott McCollough, the leaders of a group of industry “defectors”. They have launched a federal case, IRREGULATORS vs FCC, being heard in the D.C. Circuit Court on January 17, 2020.

In the first 3 minutes you’ll see why this is a blockbuster piece which will boost all of our efforts worldwide.

2) Many local governments in the US have had their computer systems hacked. The most recent is New Orleans, and one of the first responses was to turn off the Wi-Fi, reducing the damage done. After all of the warnings about vulnerability of wireless systems, you’d think governments would use ethernet cable instead of Wi-Fi.

New Orleans city government falls victim to cyberattack

“The City of New Orleans fell victim to a cyberattack that forced the shutdown of all government computers, local officials said Friday. Mayor LaToya Cantrell said she has filed a declaration of a state of emergency in response to the attack….

“Out of an abundance of caution, all employees were immediately alerted to power down computers, unplug devices & disconnect from WiFi,” the city said on its NOLA Ready Facebook page.”

3) The technical webmaster of EMRABC does a fantastic job of keeping track of cellular devices of all types, taking photos and mapping them so that as much information as possible is available on his website. Here is a recent survey he did for Maple Ridge. Many other places are mapped and can be found at www.emrabc.ca under “Small Cells, Node B 4G/5G”.

“More Small Cells have been installed since,
I found a half completed one on 222nd Street ( and 119th )
so it appears that Telus is currently installing in the downtown:

The antenna on 207th, actually is very close to a second antenna on 207th:

4) Some performers (e.g. Lady Gaga and Madonna) are forcing people to shut their cellphones off during concerts, and this could be to prevent recording or sharing of the program, or it could be for health reasons. One member told me (without providing anything to back it up) that both of these ladies are doing this because they believe the radiation to be harmful. If this is so, I sure wish they’d speak out and, perhaps, influence many cellphone users. Note the reference to a high school where cellphones must go into this secure “pouch”.

Madonna announces three cell phone-free San Francisco shows

“For her S.F. shows on Oct. 31, Nov. 2 and 4 (as well as her dates in other cities), the 60-year-old pop legend will be requiring concertgoers to use Yondr, a small neoprene pouch that puts a phone on lockdown with a magnetic device. People can therefore carry their phones with them during the show, but can only unlock them from their pouches at designated Phone Use Areas in the venue.

Recently, Yondr has become popular in Bay Area high schools like San Mateo High School, where all students and staff are required to place their phones in pouches at the beginning of the day. Jack White also required fans to use Yondr at his Bill Graham Civic Auditorium show last August.”

Anyone who needs access during a show may leave the room, have the device unlocked and use the phone in the lobby or outside — similar to the way smokers light up outside a nonsmoking theater. “Some venue staff have access to their phones at all times inside the space,” Mr. Dugoni said, in case of an emergency….)
