2)    Eileen O’Connor, Director, EM Radiation Research Trust, is putting the UK govt. on notice about the dangers of allowing 5G technology that has not been tested, with warnings from experts as to the grave risks involved.

To Be or Not To Be, That is the Question.

The EM Radiation Research Trust are the calling for an outright ban for risky untested 5G technology in response to the UK Government’s consultation calling for proposed reforms to the permitted development rights for the deployment of 5G to extend mobile coverage. It is not appropriate to impose untested 5G radiation throughout the UK. Letter of notice sent on 11th October, 2019.

Inaccurate official assessment of radiofrequency safety by the Advisory Group on Non-ionising Radiation

Abstract

“The Advisory Group on Non-ionising Radiation (AGNIR) 2012 report forms the basis of official advice on the safety of radiofrequency (RF) electromagnetic fields in the United Kingdom and has been relied upon by health protection agencies around the world. This review describes incorrect and misleading statements from within the report, omissions and conflict of interest, which make it unsuitable for health risk assessment. The executive summary and overall conclusions did not accurately reflect the scientific evidence available. Independence is needed from the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), the group that set the exposure guidelines being assessed. This conflict of interest critically needs to be addressed for the forthcoming World Health Organisation (WHO) Environmental Health Criteria Monograph on Radiofrequency Fields. Decision makers, organisations and individuals require accurate information about the safety of RF electromagnetic signals if they are to be able to fulfil their safeguarding responsibilities and protect those for whom they have legal responsibility.”

3)  On Sept. 28, there was a major conference in the UK with presentations by many experts, including Dr. Pall, Dr. Hardell, and Dr. Melnick.  Slides from these presentations have been made available by EMR Radiation Research Trust:

Subject: If the Public Only Knew the Truth!

Dear Globe & Mail’s Editor and Ms. Wilson-Raybould,

History knows the ugly truth of tobacco, but few know of today’s much more insidious existential threat to mankind: 5G technology. While there is still time, please read the facts, then you be the judge.

Sincerely,

J.G. Flynn, Captain (Retired)

Residents of Mayne, Pender, Saturna and Galiano Islands

Over the next few weeks, the Capitol Regional District is hosting a community meeting on each of your islands to help create a Digital Roadmap for your communities. The input gathered at these events will be used to determine if they will build a wired or a wireless broadband network on your island.

Hornby and Denman recently underwent a similar process and because the community objected to wireless they are building a wired fiber network!

Please attend one of the meetings below and voice:

  • your concern about 5G
  • your desire to not have an increase in fixed wireless broadband service on your island
  • your support for a wired fiber–to-the-premises network for your island

Your input is crucial to insuring you have a safe and healthy infrastructure. if no opposition to wireless is voiced you may end up with a lot of antennas soon!

Warmly,

Oona

What Does it Mean to Be a Connected Community?

Together, we can plan for better internet connectivity in the Southern Gulf Islands. The Capital Regional District (CRD) is undertaking a connectivity plan to improve broadband internet service in the islands. How do you think greater internet connectivity will help us achieve common goals of sustainable economic development, emergency services access, community health, and resilience?

Join us for a workshop to learn about the project and pull our ideas together about how better internet will make a difference on the islands.
