1) One US Senator finally is asking the right questions about health effects of wireless radiation. Sen Blumenthal gets the industry reps to admit that there are no studies and industry has put no money into determining whether there are health effects caused by 5G technology. The FCC and FDA, like Health Canada, seem to depend on non-existent studies and experts, mockery that is endangering the health of millions of people. If there is pressure in the US to examine the health effects, we will benefit because it seems unlikely that an MP going to stand up in Parliament and ask questions or demand more than unfounded assurances of safety from Health Canada.
Finally, Health Effects Were Mentioned in 5G Senate Commerce Committee Hearing
In the hearing titled Winning the Race to 5G and the Next Era of Technology Innovation in the United States Senator Blumenthal asked, “are there any health implications? Are there any safety implications?” to the millions of the small cells that are likely to be located “close to homes, schools work places and closer and closer to the ground” …
Since the FCC and the FDA didn’t provide answers he followed the FDA recommendation and asked industry – panelists “how much money has the industry provided for independent research on biological effects? Shouldn’t we scientifically ascertain the health effects? ” One of the panelists replied, “we rely on the expert agencies. There are no industry backed studies underway. This new infrastructure is designed to be low powered, low interference.”
So the FDA relies on industry and industry relies on the FDA…how long will this mockery of the American people will continue?

2) Good food for thought about 5G that should be shared with local councils and Mayors. One thing missing from the info. Who will be liable for any lawsuits re. health effects from the 5G? I suspect it would be the city since it is the owner of the land on which the transmitters will be set since the telecoms are indemnified by the govt.

3) In the RDOS (Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen), Telus’s application for new cell transmitters on higher poles was refused. Residents raised concerns about EMR – WORD OF MOUTH IS WORKING!!!
Telus gets no go for cell tower upgrades
“Telus has once again been unsuccessful in its bid to upgrade cell towers in the Naramata area.
The new poles, which would have been retrofitted with wireless technology and replaced two existing poles – albeit about double the height at 15 metres – in an attempt to resolve regular complaints about spotty service…
But a closer location had residents expressing concern to the RDOS about public safety from the electromagnetic radiation.”

What are your thoughts about the risk of 5G and what BC hydro, Telus, Shaw, etc are planning for the public. It seems that there is significant evidence about the potential health hazards and it seems like the government and corporations are ignoring these.
Can B.C. stand up to these risks to our health, like some places in the U.S. and elsewhere are?
