1) A member noticed that at the end of the linked article about microwave ovens that I included in last night’s update there was promotion of an EMF protection device. Louis Slesin of Microwave News has investigated many such devices and to date has not found any that can provide protection against RF/EMF. I missed this entirely or else I would not have recommended that link. Instead the member offered another link that is much more informative, including how researchers in Europe in the 1990s were fired and harassed for reporting on research that warned about the dangers of eating microwaved food, just like what has happened with independent researchers who warn about EMR.

• Extremely short exposure of raw, cooked or frozen vegetables converted their plant alkaloids into carcinogens.
• Carcinogenic free radicals were formed in microwaved plants, especially root vegetables.
• Decrease in nutritional value.
Russian researchers also reported a marked acceleration of structural degradation leading to a decreased food value of 60 to 90% in all foods tested.”

2) Yet another nutty “advance” in technology. This one could lead to reduced fertility and fewer healthy babies in future generations.

3) New Brunswick’s power company’s application for a smeter project last year was denied because the benefits did not justify the costs. Now a new business plan is being presented with new benefit information presented differently.
Want to bet the info will be like BC Hydro’s and FortisBC’s in which the amount of money “stolen” by grow ops increased several times in order to justify the plan? And how did they prove this “lost” power and document the potential savings? I don’t know. I never saw any statistics that could be confirmed.
NB Power launches PR campaign for revived smart meter plan

The duty of government:
Why is this government and BC Health unwilling to fulfill their duty to protect the public?
Is it not the duty of the BC Government and their health agencies, to stay informed of the latest research?

The most disturbing fact is, that Health Canada’s Radiation Bureau’s, Mr. James McNamee, considers his own 5 day mouse research, as the most comprehensive research ever, while he calls both 10 year US Government NTP, and Ramazzini studies as, irrelevant and non consequential.
I myself and many others received replies from James McNamee, who consistently discredits renown international scientists research, by using words such as: “inappropriate study design or methodology, erroneous results, scientifically meaningless, un-sufficient quality, of little value,” etc.
James McNamee, who has previous ties to the telecom industry, even refused to except US Naval, 2000 EMF studies.
McNamee suffers from an overinflated sense of self worth, which should never be tolerated by any governmental agency. How can this government and BC Health, take people like this seriously?
McNamee was member of the Bioelectromagentic Society, which fosters a very close relationship with corporations such as Motorola and other tech giants.
Why are government officials unable to smell a rat?
Unfortunately, most people are so mesmerized by their wireless gadgets, that it impairs their objectiveness, regarding the health hazards associated with this biologically active, untested technology. Yes, it is hard to believe, but WiFi, cell phones, tablets, cell towers, cordless DECT phones and even baby monitors remain biologically untested in Canada.
Instead of testing any these devices, industry is allowed to hide behind the so called ‘Safety Code 6’, which was originally designed for industrial applications, for a short and limited time, and never intended for non stop radiation exposure of the entire population, from multiple sources, 24/7!
The Wingspread Statement of the Precautionary Principal:
On January 15, 1998, Canada signed the Wingspread Statement, in which the Precautionary Principal was defined as follows: “When an activity raises threats of harm to human health or the environment, precautionary measures should be taken even if some cause and effect relationships are not fully established scientifically.”
What kind of careless society would expose their most vulnerable to harm, like the unborn, children, the sick and elderly, in schools and hospitals, just to appease the obscenely profitable wireless industry?

Dr. Riina Bray would be an excellent starting point, and could be invited to conduct a seminar for BC Health, doctors, nurses and administrators, as it is vital that BC Health becomes informed, for better health of patients and society.
