1)    A new documentary film, “Child, Disrupted, will have its first public screening soon.

The first public screening of the film will be at the California Independent Film Festival (CAIFF) on August 30, 2018, and I’d love for you to attend! You can visit www.childdisrupted.com/screenings to find more information and to purchase tickets.

The film will be screened at more film festivals and community events in the coming months. For the latest information, you can follow us on Facebook, @childdisrupted.”

In “Child, Disrupted”, Krista interviewed experts from the fields of neuroscience, psychology, occupational therapy, sociology, and addiction, to reveal the truth behind her worries about screen time and child development. The film elucidates how time spent using technology specifically impacts children’s behaviors, and offers insight into how guardians can curb it’s (sic) influence while equipping children to develop healthy relationships with technology.”

2) An article in French newspapers re. the banning of sale of a cell phone in Canada.

[Last minute] International: first withdrawal of a cell phone in Canada

« The Government of Canada has just banned the distribution of the mobile phone Alcatel U50 [see link below] for having exceeded its radiation emission (SAR) regulatory thresholds.    This was confirmed on the MobileSyrup website by a spokesperson for the government agency Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) [http://www.ic.gc.ca/eic/site/icgc.nsf/eng/home] that controls the placing on the market of radio devices in Canada »

3)  A lawsuit was filed and dismissed a couple of years ago (and is being appealed) against SMUD Sacramento Municipal Utility District because Mark Graham was not given the choice to “opt in” to the smeter program, which was the program that was approved in 2007.  People are allowed to keep their analogs – or to have their smeters replaced by an analog – but according to this site, the utility company keeps this option silent.  Notice the monthly fees: $14 for SMUD and $10 for only 36 months.

So much for BC Hydro’s claims that:
1) the grid won’t work if some people have analogs and
2) no more analogs are available. If people in California are allowed to keep their analogs, the utilities must have a source for new analogs.

In March 2012 the Board created an “opt out” policy which allowed SMUD customers living in single family homes to exchange their smart meter for a non-transmitting digital meter.  The charges were $127 for the meter plus $39 per month, which deterred many customers.  In March 2013 the Board amended the opt out policy to allow customers to receive an analog meter and lowered the monthly fee to $14.

By comparison PG&E customers are allowed to opt out and pay $75 for the new analog meter plus $10 per month, but only have to pay the $10 for 36 months.  PG&E puts a notice on page 1 of the bill to inform its customers that they can opt out.  PG&E also has a drawing

To this date SMUD has not notified its customers that they can have their smart meter removed and have an analog meter installed.  Graham has repeatedly asked SMUD to notify customers.

4) One member suggested that the incorrect article that I shared last night, which said firefighters were being harmed by 5G in Sacramento, might have seen this article by Susan Foster and just got confused. Thanks to the study done in 2004, firefighters became aware that cell towers that were installed on firehouses were associated with neurological and cognitive problems they were experiencing. Firefighters, therefore, demanded a moratorium on microcells which are being installed throughout California. I shared this article last year but it is a good one to revisit.

Guest Blog: ‘Health Exemption for Firefighters sends a Message to the World’ by Susan Foster

“The industry-friendly California legislature may claim they know nothing about health concerns, but in fact they do. The legislature granted an exemption from SB 649 to the firefighters who requested it for health reasons. Throughout California firefighters have long complained of often disabling symptoms from cell towers on their stations. Cities frequently rent out space on fire stations to add to city revenue. Firefighters live and sleep in the stations when on duty, and have experienced significant RF radiation exposure.

Symptoms experienced by the firefighters have included neurological impairment including severe headache, confusion, inability to focus, lethargy, inability to sleep, and inability to wake up for 911 emergency calls. Firefighters have reported getting lost on 911 calls in the same community they grew up in, and one veteran medic forgot where he was in the midst of basic CPR on a cardiac victim and couldn’t recall how to start the procedure over again. Prior to the installation of the tower on his station, this medic had not made a single mistake in 20 years. A pilot study (2004) of California firefighters showed brain abnormalities, cognitive impairment, delayed reaction time, and lack of impulse control in all 6 firefighters tested (https://ecfsapi.fcc.gov/file/7022117660.pdf). This study led to the overwhelming passage of Resolution 15 by the International Association of Firefighters in Boston in August 2004. Res. 15 called for further study and was amended to impose a moratorium on the placement of cell towers on fire stations throughout the US and Canada. http://emrpolicy.org/news/headlines/iaff_position.PDF

Subject: HRT and Mr. Rilkoff – electrohypersensitivity

Re:  BC Tribunal and WiFi
No proof B.C. boy’s migraines caused by Wi-Fi, tribunal rules – Ms. Bethany Lindsay – CBC News, Jul. 17, 2018

Dear Mr. Rilkoff and HRT,

Your recent case, regarding boy T. who suffers from debilitating electro hypersensitivity (EHS), was sadly mishandled by the Human Right Tribunal, just because there is no one in your office who is remotely informed of the complexity of electrophysiology.

Equally disturbing is HRT’s case of Sheean, which Mr. Trerise handled.  Considering his previous partnership in Fasken Martineau, whose website extols: a close working relationship with the world’s largest telecom firms such as Rogers, he should have recused himself from handling any human rights case connected to the wireless industry.  No one can serve two masters!

As the technical aspects of the documents supplied to you by the family of boy T. appears to be beyond your understanding of biology, one would think that the HRT would seek advice from independent experts in this field.

Your lack of knowledge is understandable, as it even confounds most physicians (including the staff of Health Canada), who have not received training in this very specialized field of medicine, which often results in incorrect diagnosis and inappropriate treatment of patients, as pointed out in TheGuideline of the Austrian Medical Association, for the diagnosis and treatment of EMF related health problems and illnesses (EMF syndrome).

The document, although written for medical professionals, reveals information you and the office of the HRT should become familiar with as, without a doubt, more and more cases regarding human rights and electrohypersensitivity (EHS) will increase due to ever increasing electrosmog pollution, not only in BC but around the world.

The Medical Perspective on EHS:

EUROPAEM EMF Guideline 2016 for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of EMF-related health problems and illnesses

Excerpt:  “Studies, empirical observations, and patient reports clearly indicate interactions between EMF exposure and health problems.  Individual susceptibility and environmental factors are frequently neglected.  New wireless technologies and applications have been introduced without any certainty about their health effects, raising new challenges for medicine and society. For instance, the issue of so-called non-thermal effects and potential long-term effects of low-dose exposure were scarcely investigated prior to the introduction of these technologies.  Common electromagnetic field or EMF sources: Radio-frequency radiation (RF) (3 MHz to 300 GHz) is emitted from radio and TV broadcast antennas, Wi-Fi access points, routers, and clients (e.g. smartphones, tablets), cordless and mobile phones including their base stations, and Bluetooth devices.

. . .  the emerging electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) is more and more recognized by health authorities, disability administrators and case workers, politicians, as wellas courts of law.  We recommend treating EHS clinically as part of the group of chronic multisystem illnesses (CMI), but still recognizing that the underlying cause remains the environment.

Canada’s Standing Committee on Health:

If you would have been diligent in your research, regarding electro hypersensitivity, and the dangers that wireless technologies pose, especially for children, you would have learned of the deep concerns expressed by the Canadian Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health (HESA), after meeting with numerous international EMF experts over several days in Ottawa. Their concern also extends to Health Canada’s casual approach to science and general lack of expertise.

HESA 2015 –  12 Recommendations on Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Radiation and the Health of Canadians.

That Statistics Canada consider including questions related to electromagnetic hypersensitivity in the Canadian Community Health Survey.

That the Government of Canada, through the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, consider funding research into electromagnetic hypersensitivity testing, diagnosis and treatment, and its possible impacts on health in the workplace.

That the Canadian Medical Association, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the World Health Organization consider updating their guidelines and continuing education materials regarding the diagnosis and treatment of electromagnetic hypersensitivity to ensure they are based on the latest scientific evidence and reflect the symptoms of affected Canadians.

That the Government of Canada continue to provide reasonable accommodations for environmental sensitivities, including electromagnetic hypersensitivity, as required under the Canadian Human Rights Act.

That the Government of Canada establish a system for Canadians to report potential adverse reactions to radiofrequency fields.

That the Government of Canada develop an awareness campaign relating to the safe use of wireless technologies, such as cell phones and Wi-Fi, in key environments such as the school and home to ensure that Canadian families and children are reducing risks related to radiofrequency exposure.

That the Government of Canada, through the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, consider funding research into the link between radiofrequency fields and potential health effects such as cancer, genetic damage, infertility, impairment to development and behavior, harmful effects to eyes and on the brain, cardiovascular, biological and biochemical effects.

Health Canada Exposed:

Dr. Martin Blank, Prof. of Physiology and Cellular Biophysics, Columbia University, who is well acquainted with Health Canada, questioned their stunningly naive approach to science and lack of fundamental understanding of biophysics at the HESA hearings.

Dr. Blank informed the HESA committee that if Health Canada would hire biologists, instead of engineers, they would have a much better understanding of what happens on a cellular level.

He also questioned their motives and methods of their provocation studies, and asked why they refuse to use the very same radiation technologies that are known to make electro hypersensitive people seriously sick.  Dr. Blank pointed out to the committee that they use a device that simulates, instead of using real WiFi or cell tower antennas which are scientifically known to cause adverse biological effects, due to the pulsed nature of this radiation.

“. . . when stress protein synthesis is stimulated by radiofrequency or power frequency EMF, the body is telling us in its own language that RF exposure is potentially harmful.”

Dr. Blank’s blunt criticism of Health Canada, during 3 days of hearings of physicians and EMR scientists, can be found on the internet.  The hearings also revealed that Health Canada withheld vital information in a document given to the HESA members.  Such sleight of hand should surely be of interest for human rights lawyers.

Dr. Martha Herbert, from Harvard University Medical School, explained the links between wireless devices used by pregnant women and the rapid increase of autism in North America.

Dr. Devra Davis, Public Health expert and co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Price, explained the increasing strong connection between wireless devices and cancer.

Dr. Riina Brae, Medical Director at the Environmental Health Clinic at the Woman’s College Hospital in Toronto, reported on the rapidly rising numbers of Canadians who are becoming electro hypersensitive from common wireless exposures, such as teachers and students in their classrooms.  (My wife is one of many.)

The International Doctors Appeal,2012, unequivocally states:

Children and adolescents are most vulnerable. The number of those who suffer from electrohypersensitivity is steadily growing. In those who are affected, severe symptoms to electromagnetic fields can develop immediately or hours after the exposure to technical electromagnetic fields.”

The European Environment Agency, as well as The European Parliament, called for urgent precautionary action in 2009.

The European Council demanded abandoning wireless communication policies, that are seen as unsustainable in their current form, in a unanimous resolution in 2011.

Environment And Electrosmog:

American Academy of Environmental Medicine – Wireless Radiofrequency Radiation in Schools

Excerpt:  “The peer reviewed, scientific literature demonstrates the correlation between RF exposure and neurological, cardiac, and pulmonary disease as well as reproductive and developmental disorders, immune dysfunction, cancer and other health conditions.  The evidence is irrefutable.”

“There is consistent, emerging science that shows people, especially children who are more vulnerable due to developing brains and thinner skulls, are being affected by the increasing exposure to wireless radiation.”

“To install WiFi in schools plus public spaces risks a widespread public health hazard that the medical system is not yet prepared to address.”

International Medical Perspective On Health:

International Doctors Appeal, 2012 with thousands of signatures!  (a 2 page, must read, medical crash course for laypersons!) http://freiburger-appell-2012.info/media/International_Doctors_Appeal_2012_Nov.pdf

Excerpt:  “The number of those who suffer from electrohypersensitivity is steadily growing. In those who are affected, severe symptoms to electromagnetic fields can develop immediately or hours after the exposure to technical electromagnetic fields. Sweden has recognized electrohypersensitivity as a functional impairment. The European Parliament has called on its member states “to follow the example of Sweden,” and U.S. State Governors have raised public awareness about the serious consequences ofelectrohypersensitivity.”

American Physicians Statement of EHS:

Excerpt:  “The peer reviewed, scientific literature demonstrates the correlation between RF exposure and neurological, cardiac, and pulmonary disease as well as reproductive and developmental disorders, immune dysfunction, cancer and other health conditions. The evidence is irrefutable.”

“To install WiFi in schools plus public spaces risks a widespread public health hazard that the medical system is not yet prepared to address. Statistics show that you can expect to see an immediate reaction in 3% and delayed effects in 30% of citizens of all ages.”

EMF Medical Science Experts, Letters On Electro-Smog Pollution In Schools:

78 pages – Highly informative information regarding electrosmog in schools, a must read for HRT.

You might also appreciate the very last letter on this site, as it was written by one of your colleagues, a trial lawyer:  “Brain cancer killed four of my colleagues and friends which has led me several years ago into dedicating our work for consumers about smart phone proximity …”

Lawyer And Scientists:

As Human Rights Lawyers, you will appreciate reading the illuminating article, ‘Illusion and Escape’ inThe American Trial Lawyer, written by scientist and lawyer, Dr. Carlo, who headed an 18 million dollar research project on cell phone radiation.https://www.scribd.com/document/37994698/George-Carlo-Illusion-and-Escape-the-American-Trial-Lawyer-2008

The article is loaded with information, including images of blood samples which illustrate how rapidly radio frequency radiation affects the blood. Dr. Carlo provides insight regarding the folly of so-called “governmental oversight”. A must read for legal professionals!

A lot of research was published since, such as the massive The Ramazzini Study on full body exposure (such as WiFi), as well as The U.S. National Toxicology Program (NTP) study on cell phone radiation, proving harm well within allowable limits of Canada’s archaic Safety Code 6.  As scientific evidence of harm has become irrefutable, demands for stricter protection from electrosmog from EMF scientists and pediatricians are getting louder!

EHS in real life:

As for myself, I have spent the last 9 years researching the adverse effects of RF and EMR, since my wife was stricken with electrohypersensitivity (EHS), very much like the boy T., Sheean and the case where someone suffered from smart meter electrosmog pollution.

My wife can tell when neighbours are using WiFi, even right in the middle of the night.  She feels WiFi in stores.

She can tell when a person carries a cell phone, even if it is hidden in a purse.

She reacts severely to cars anti-collision technologies.

No more visits to restaurants, hotels, movie theaters or concerts.  Shopping is reduced to essentials.  No more visits to friends and family who live in cities, not even for birthdays.

We moved to a remote region of Vancouver Island to escape the 24/7 RF smog pollution of urban centers!

Luddite?  Hardly!  She used to work in the engineering offices of  TELUS.

The Nuremberg Code:

Devastating consequences, such as isolation and the inability to earn a living, have become reality for many, since industry is allowed to unleash biologically UNTESTED radiation technology on the population under the guise of Canada’s archaic and non-protective Safety Code 6.  The Nuremberg Declaration, to which Canada is a signatory, outlaws any such biological experiments without informed, explicit consent of the test subjects.

Canada is in violation of human rights when children become unwilling participants in uncontrolled biological WiFi experiments in schools without their informed consent, nor parental consent.   No research exists that proves that WiFi is safe for children, and it is illegal and immoral to use children as lab rats.

Premature Deaths:

Pastor Häublein, Oberammergau, Germany, ended his own life.  He could not endure the endless suffering of EHS.

Jenny Fry, a young student, took her own life in 2015.  She could not endure the endless suffering of electro hypersensitivity from her schools WiFi. Like in boy T’s electro hypersensitivity case, her school and adults failed her most miserably, as they refused to switch to a safer and faster, hard wired alternative.

A police chief, of a large city in England, ended his own life.  Electro hypersensitivity became unbearable for him.

Who is affected with EHS?

Former prime ministers, police chiefs, airline pilots, judges, IT engineers, politicians, corporate executives, concert musicians, students, physicians, lab technicians, teachers, actors, scientists, singers, firemen, writers, photographers, builders, soldiers, computer designers, homemakers, nurses, architects, lawyers, little children, etc.

Once you gain an insight into the electrophysiology of man, and all living things, you will realize the absurdity of blindly following the very same government agency, Health Canada, who told us that Thalidomide, tobacco, lead, asbestos and a host of bio-toxins were perfectly safe, and that AIDS would be a minor event.  This is the very same government agency that previously battled their own scientists in court, at taxpayers’ expense, to suppress vital scientific information from the public.  They did lose the case!

I do hope that, for any future claims involving electro hypersentivity, you will find the courage to stand up for human rights, which are enshrined in our constitution, and that you will revisit the cases of Sheean, boy T. and the smart meter claim.

Consult With Independent Experts:  (Canadian Government officials are NOT independent, they are industry affiliated through monetary connections)

To aid you in understanding difficult documents, I urge you to contact scientists with no affiliation to industry, such as Canada’s highly esteemed Dr. Anthony Miller, Professor Toronto University, Dr. Magda Havas, Assistant Professor at Trent University, or Dr. Riina Brae, Medical Director at the Environmental Health Clinic at the Woman’s College Hospital in Toronto, who treats many patients suffering from EHS.

Physicians for Safe Technology lists other experts in the field as well as provides excellent information and scientific literature that is easily understandable for lay persons who seek understanding of this subject: https://mdsafetech.org/

I sincerely hope that Canada’s Human Rights lawyers will make it their mission not to allow industry to trample on the human rights of Canadians, and support anyone who has succumbed to the unchecked explosion of electrosmog pollution in our environment.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me anytime!

Kind regards,
Marcus Schluschen
