2018-05-16 US infrastructure could become more vulnerable to cyber threats.

1)    Arthur Firstenberg is raising the alarm about the condition of the earth which, in his opinion, is dire and will get worse if the thousands of satellites are allowed to encircle it, emitting RF signals everywhere all the time.

Planetary Emergency

Between 2001 and now, our skies have not essentially changed. Iridium and Globalstar, operating 66 and 40 satellites respectively, are still the only providers of satellite phones. The amount of data raining on us all from space is still dominated by those two fleets. The predicted fleets of thousands of satellites have not materialized. But they are about to now, unless we stop them. Everything we know and love is at stake—not just hawks and geese, pigeons and race horses, not just the human race, but life itself. This is a mortal threat not just to our children and grandchildren, but to all of us, immediately, within two years.

The biggest threats are from Boeing, OneWeb, and SpaceX, all of which have similar applications before the FCC. SpaceX’s 12,000 satellites will operate in two constellations, at 700 miles and 210 miles in altitude. They will operate at millimeter wave frequencies and they will be phased arrays. Each satellite will have thousands of antenna elements that will aim focused, steerable beams at any desired point on the surface of the earth. Each beam from the 4,425 satellites already approved at the 700-mile height would have a maximum effective radiated power of up to 8,800 watts. The revised application for 12,000 satellites is requesting an increase to 5,000,000 watts per beam (for the upper constellation of 4,425 satellites) and 500,000 watts per beam (for the lower constellation of 7,518 satellites). The satellites will communicate both with individual users and with gateway earth stations, of which there will be several hundred just in the United States.”

[….Except that now the dirty electricity will get onto our bodies’ wiring. The noise from 20,000 satellites that are plugged into the ionosphere will pollute the global electrical circuit that we are all plugged into. It will kill us and it must be stopped.

It is not only the number of satellites but the number of customers they will serve that is the problem….]

2)    More and more often we’re hearing of people, of all ages, being diagnosed with glioblastomas [GBMs]. Many studies have linked glios to cell phone use but no public health agency, including Health Canada and the various Cancer Societies, have put out public warnings, asked for labels to be put on cell phones, or even tracked them.  It seems that a cone of silence, generated by the telecom industry, has been put over this devastating disease to protect the profits of the wireless companies, even at the risk of causing suffering by many.

In this article, a victim asks for new research to help treat this brain cancer with no mention of a very well documented cause – cell phones.

Like Tessa Jowell, I have a brain tumour. I hope her death inspires new research

“After I was diagnosed, I asked my neuro-oncologist why glioblastoma is so deadly; why the terrifying statistics suggested that I had a mere 5% chance of surviving five years. He explained to me that the dreaded figure five also relates to another key statistic: the percentage of successful applications for research funding into GBM. This disease is so complex, so aggressive and so rare, that it is hard to attract substantial research funding.

It is especially gratifying that Jowell’s powerful legacy has already begun to be felt in the form of increased government funding. But she would be the first to agree this is not enough. There is another currency to tap: a goldmine of patient-generated data that is massively under-collected and undervalued. At the heart of every GBM drama, as with any life-threatening disease, is a human being enduring symptoms – some good, many bad – resulting from the cancer and the treatments we take. Yet our relationship as patients with our disease is not consistently recorded or analysed. It can feel as if, from the perspective of the medical system, our experience is not worth understanding.”

3)    We should be very concerned about cybersecurity issues arising in the USA that could affect us and our infrastructures.

a. Trump’s administration has removed the head position of the cybersecurity division and

b. Trump has decided that the Chinese firm ZTE, the company that makes much of the software used in transmitters and other infrastructure electronics used in the US, is to be promoted even though it has been found to have threatened the integrity and security of major systems.

Another Chinese firm, Huawei, has been accused of hacking and espionage yet is still being used in BC (and perhaps across Canada) to provide transmitters for infrastructure (microcells) and electronics for major projects like Site C.

President Trump says that he is working to get ZTE ‘back into business, fast’

4)    A man in the UK has suffered headaches ever since smeters were installed on his home. And the author of the article is asking for anyone who has experienced health problems due to smeters to send him an email.  This article came to me from a group in Australia, so hopefully people from many countries will respond with their experiences. I’ve written to Mr. Anderson and asked if he would share the responses with me.

‘My smart meters are giving me headaches’: Man calls for investigation into the devices

One campaigner, JV Tolentino, has started a petition on 38degrees.org.uk, which so far has gathered more than 21,000 signatures. [https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/we-do-not-consent-to-smart-meters]

He said: “‘Smart’ meters emit a continuous stream of pulsed microwave radiation, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

“These fields are intensely bio-active and affect the people and natural ecology in and around each home as well nearby.”

What has been your experience of having a smart meter? Have you suffered any ill-effects such as headaches, and you believe your smart meter may be responsible?
