1) What will be the largest solar power project in BC was approved recently. Once operational, power will be sold to BC Hydro. I wonder how this meshes with BC Hydro’s recent application to limit project surpluses that was in April 23 update

2) Electrical utility companies now are able to obtain, gather and share information thanks to smeters. Now they’re figuring out how to get customers to agree to allowing access to very “granular” data, some of which can be very personal, especially once every electrical device and appliance has a ZigBee chip that sends data to the smeter.

Dear Penticton Council and Mayor Jakubeit,
Your local newspaper, Penticton Western News, recently carried an appallingly biased, utterly uninformed, editorial/opinion piece on 5G, slamming the group of concerned citizens opposing this development who base their deep concerns on science and recent government medical research.
Please take a moment and read my letter to the editor below, as 5G will impact everyone sooner or later on a cellular level, according to medical experts on electromagnetic radiation, last year’s massive 25 million dollar, US National Toxicology Program – Cell Phone Study as well as the very recent April 2018 – Ramazzini Study on Cell Tower Radiation, the largest, non-industry funded study ever.

The PDF of The International Doctor Appeal 2012 provides a lot of medical information for lay-persons on 2 pages.
My letter also speaks of my wife’s severe electronic hyper sensitivity (EHS), which can only be described as a most callous physical assault on a person, by an uncaring industry and captured governments. This is not supposed to happen but, unfortunately, it has become a life altering nightmare for many.
Anyone who enjoyed an education of biology must know that all life is bio-electric.
If someone puts blind faith into government officials, consider this true story of a government veterinary scientist who told a farmer, when he examined the many sick animals, he is 100% certain that a new cell tower in the vicinity of his farm was the sole cause of his livestock’s abnormally poor health, neurological issues, birth malformations and stillborn animals.
He also told him, when he contacts him at the government office, that he will deny that there is a problem! When the farmer did eventually write to him, he flatly denied, as he said he would, that cell towers are a health problem!
Technology is not smart when it comes at the expense of people’s health and a minimized environment, nor should there be any consideration for an uncaring industry, who admitted in a leaked memo, to have: “war-gamed the science”.

The recent unsigned editorial/opinion piece in Penticton Western News was an unfortunate failure of journalism and an illustration of industry bias. This opinion piece appears to be written by an industry lobbyist, or perhaps an uninformed reporter.
. . . those with offbeat ideas, like a group that presented their concerns about the installation of a 5G cellular network throughout the community and requested a public forum.
If the writer/journalist should have diligently done his/her homework, they would have quickly discovered that those with offbeat ideas include none other than large groups of leading global EMR medical researchers, thousands of physicians, heads of governmental medical departments and international medical associations.
A group of citizens says it offers increased risk of damaged DNA, cancer, birth defects and other health ills, the same as similar groups have been alleging, to no provable degree, for a couple of decades.
The writer or journalist would have quickly learned, through investigative research, that these are not merely groups of citizens who are alleging improvable facts, instead, this individual would have learned that many of these groups are in communication with hundreds of EMR research scientists around the world. The information they provide comes directly from scientists, which includes US Government researchers, who all agree: the evidence of biological harm from EMR, at allowable levels, is “irrefutable!”
. . . there may be a very few that are hypersensitive to electromagnetic fields, but the vast majority of people are unaffected, as evidenced by the lack of an epidemic of people falling ill after decades of being bathed in radio frequency fields for cellular and wireless.
Prudent journalistic medical science investigation would have revealed that these very few that are hypersensitive to electromagnetic fields include the internationally, highly respected, former head of the World Health Organization, Dr. Gro Harlem Brundtland MD, who had to give up her position because of the increasing presence of man-made electrosmog radiation, in the offices of the WHO.
Others, like actress/singer and songwriter Jolie Jones, daughter of the famous Quincy Jones, became one of the EHS victims and cannot pursue her career anymore.
There are hundreds of thousands less known EHS victims around the world, from airline pilots, realtors, teachers, doctors, musicians, students, computer engineers, photographers, scientists, and writers. For many, life came crashing down around them as their tolerance to man-made electro-smog pollution diminished.
My wife, who used to work in the electrical engineering office for Telus, is also one of these unfortunate EHS victims, and the small pleasures of life, such as visiting a theatre, library, or visiting with friends in a restaurant, are no more thanks to the omnipresent electrosmog pollution from WiFi , cell towers, smart meters, etc.
A good investigative journalist would have learned from medical science that the vast majority of people are indeed affected, on a cellular level, even though they might not be aware of these artificially-induced, biological changes in their bodies.
Doctors trained in EHS diagnosis estimate that 5% of the global population suffers physically from EHS, while approx. 35% are physically negatively affected, but due to a lack of knowledge and training among physicians, they misdiagnose this man-made condition.
Health Canada, and others, make it clear that while they want to see continuing research, “current scientific evidence supports the assertion that RF energy emissions from Wi-Fi devices are not harmful.
The writer would have learned that Health Canada’s very own scientist, James McNamee, admitted before a Quebec Superior Court that they are aware of studies showing adverse biological effect of EMR, and that “Safety Code 6” only considers heating of tissues, while biological effect on a cellular level are NOT addressed by Code 6.
The writer/reporter would have been stunned to learn, just as scientists discovered in complete dismay, that “Sam”, Health Canada’s illustrious test person, is none other than an anthropomorphic, liquid-filled, hollow plastic doll. In size, resembling a 220 lbs man, not a child, nor woman, nor even this writer. Yes, you did read correctly, . . . a hollow plastic doll, without bones, organs nor a nervous system, is used to simulate a human being at Health Canada. Since plastic man Sam shows no adverse biological effects to EMR, everything is peachy and roses for the wireless industry!
The opinion piece writer, would be angered to learn, that “the others”, are the billion dollar, profit driven wireless industry, who just like Big Tobacco and the asbestos industry before them, deny any biological effects, even though their cell phones come with warnings, hidden deep in the manual!
The writer would have discovered, that award winning investigative journalists unveiled, that the wireless industry is mired in corruption, active influence peddling of medical research, and wielding undue influence in governments.
This information would have prompted the writer to dig deeper into the sordid relationship of industry and government who receive billions in airwave auctions and licensing, as well as the meddling by Motorola, Mike Repacholi, Daniel Krewski, Ken Foster, Tom Wheeler, John Moulder, etc., etc.
One sentence would have popped out for the reporter from a leaked wireless industry memo:
” . . . we have war-gamed the science sufficiently!”
. . . like the many studies that show no link between cellular/wireless tech and cancer.
The anonymous writer of the opinion piece would have discovered, through careful research, that non-industry funded studies, including the recent 25 million dollar US National Toxicology Program Cell Phone Study – 2017, as well as the most recent Ramazzini Study of Cell Towers – 2018 (largest cell tower radiation study ever), show irrefutable evidence of harm to life.
. . . but they don’t have any responsibility to go to extreme lengths to address unreasonable concerns, . . .
If the reporter would have checked the facts, yes, government officials do have a responsibility for the safety of it’s citizens once medical and science information is provided to them. The excuse: “We, or I, did not know”, will not cut the mustard if legal action is taken against the city.
. . . our council needs to educate themselves on this topic, but from truly knowledgeable and responsible sources.
As most journalists are passionate about truthful and unbiased reporting, they would be happy to have citizens in the community who are highly informed on this subject, due to the fact that they communicate with scientists and medical researchers from all corners of the globe.
After extensive research, would the writer of the opinion piece continue to blindly follow the assurances of industries’ highly paid lobbyist and uninformed government officials whose paycheque depends on ‘towing the party line’?

Australia has become aware of the issue of dirty electricity caused by the smeter’s switch mode power supply. Any digital meter, not just the smeter, has the SMPS. This is one more reason that the digital meter is far more dangerous and undesirable than the analog. In this article, the issue is described very simply and clearly.
