1) The IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) found that the guideline used for cell phone RF emission is extremely inadequate for children. Current SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) is based on a 200 pound man’s head which is not only significantly larger than a child’s but is also fully formed with a thicker skull.

Evaluation of children exposure to electromagnetic fields of mobile phones using age-specific head models with age-dependent dielectric properties
The results show that the maximum SAR levels in brain tissues of young children (3 months) are higher by up to 61% and 78% than adults at the lowest (700 MHz) and highest (2600 MHz) investigated frequencies, respectively.
2) Upon reading the response I got from BC Hydro regarding my Fire Report, one member decided to check out one of the statements, the one about analogs not being available and found yet another “untruth”. BC Hydro seems intent on sharing “alternative facts”.
“Milbank Self-contained analog E-Z read watt-hour meter has four outlets and is ideal for installation on U5100/U5300 metered power outlets. Electromechanical meter is self contained and features dial display.”
The member offered,
“It doesn’t actually claim that the meters are made in the US, but it does claim the US as country of origin, and on the “about us” page, they say that all their products are new and factory sealed; none are refurbished. I also found numerous sources of (probably more poorly made) electromechanical analog meters made in China, and several sites that offer reconditioned analog meters. Including bi-directional meters for use with solar panels.”
Of course, if places like California allow people to keep their analogs permanently, there has to be a source for them. Re. being made in the USA, I have been told by some insiders that smeters are made in China. Only the faceplates are made and installed in the US, hence the “made in the USA” that people see.
3) A letter in the Williams Lake Tribune, expressing concerns about the smeter program, and asking:
Does anyone else have concerns about BC Hydro?

4) A few times in the past, I’ve mentioned the f.lux program for reducing blue light on the computer screen. https://justgetflux.com/
A Mac user suggested that there is a better program specifically for these machines:
How to use Night Shift on your Mac
….Studies have shown that exposure to bright blue light in the evening can affect your circadian rhythms and make it harder to fall asleep. Night Shift uses your computer’s clock and geolocation to determine when it’s sunset in your location [or you can create your own custom time settings for on/off]. It then automatically shifts the colors in your display to the warmer end of the spectrum [you can choose/change the colour temperature as well]. In the morning it returns the display to its regular settings.

5) An excellent article about 5G and smeters. Smeters will be a distribution system for 5G. These two will work together to obtain our data more efficiently and control our usage.
New 5G Cell Towers and Smart Meters to Increase Microwave Radiation – Invade Privacy (main heading)
Why do Telecom Companies Want a 5G Network? The Merging of Telecommunications with Electric Utilities (sub-heading)
“The 5G system goes hand-in-hand with the smart meter system. Together, these systems will be used to create ‘smart cities.’
These cities will be blanketed in high frequency microwave radiation and will provide the means for enabling a wide variety of new technology…
The smart meters that electric utilities are now installing throughout the U.S. are the nerve endings for what will become a highly complex centrally controlled information and energy exchange system.
The 5G network will use the smart meter system (being implemented throughout the U.S.) and the new generation of smart appliances to reach into our homes and make decisions for us…
Everything that uses electricity will be potentially monitored and controlled by the power companies.
If desired, the electric providers can even independently turn off any appliance they wish whenever they wish to conserve energy consumption. [26, 27]
The need for smart appliances will be a boon for appliance manufacturers and microwave technology producers. The fusion of 5G with the electrical grid will require everyone to buy new appliances that are smart meter enabled or have our existing appliances retrofitted with microwave transmitters.”

Subject: BC Hydro Review
Thank goodness there is finally going to be a review of BC Hydro. An independent review is what’s needed. Please.
I would also like to respectfully request that included in this review will be a review of the Smart Meter Program. From Day One it has been fraught with questionable regulations and policies. For instance:
Why was the BCUC bypassed on approving or disapproving the smart meter program? Oh, I know, the Clean Energy Act, introduced by Gordon Campbell gave the right to bypass them. I wonder why? Perhaps he knew more than he would like them to know.
From Day One BC Hydro has lied to their customers. We were told that with smart meters on our homes, we would never have to worry about calling BC Hydro when there was a power outage because the smart meter would notify BC Hydro electronically when the power was out. Really? That hasn’t been my experience. In every instance I have had to call Hydro to let them know the power was off.
And that the smart meter would last 20 years. Really? Aren’t they about to be replaced after only 5-7 years? And at what cost to the ratepayer?
And what about all the fires that are occurring with smart meters? That information is being kept from the public. Why? Most home owners have a right to know that they have a fire hazard on their wall. What about the legality of keeping this important information from us?
And why the huge Legacy fee that some Hydro customers are paying? Even FortisBC charges only $9.00/month for the same service. That’s extortion and it should be investigated.
All wireless technology and the Smart Grid can be easily hacked. Customers of BC Hydro are vulnerable as is everyone else in the world with a smart meter on their home. Imagine this scenario: A skilled hacker gets into the Smart Grid in the middle of a cold, cold winter. The Smart Grid goes down all over North America. People have no electricity…for days.
What were the bureaucrats thinking when they allowed Smart Meters to be put on homes? It was an insane decision. Our analogs would still be running happily and our privacy would still be intact if we had kept Smart Meters off our homes.
The Smart Meter Program will end up costing BC ratepayers millions if not billions when all is said and done.
It’s time that the lies and corruption of BC Hydro are brought out into the open…not just the financial mess they find themselves in.
