1) In order to confront 5G technology and the 1,000s of microcells that are needed to support it, we must be well informed about how the industry is approaching this. They are doing a strong push on what they see as benefits – making wireless radiation more pervasive through microcells in every neighbourhood to support the demand for faster service. The industry intends to get around all regulations at the municipal level by partnering with local utilities already using the rights of way, e.g. Telus. The supposed results are huge increases in jobs in “smart cities”.

2) In 2011, an article in Consumers Digest had some interesting insights and predictions about smeters, sadly, most of which seem to be right on, especially the part about politically influential companies foisting these on us.
Why Smart Meters Might Be A Dumb Idea
“We interviewed 35 experts, including smart-grid- and utility-industry executives, government regulators and consumer advocates. We also reviewed thousands of pages of government documents, filings with state utility commissions, materials from smart-meter-makers, and reports that were produced by the emerging smart-grid industry. A few experts suggest that smart-meter conversion represents little more than a boondoggle that is being foisted on consumers by the politically influential companies that make the hardware and software that are required for the smart-meter conversion. And based on our investigation, it’s difficult to disagree. From a consumer’s perspective, the potential negative consequences outweigh the benefits in three critical areas: ….Costs…Rate Changes…Energy Savings…”

3) In Michigan, DTE is passing on the same lies that most utility companies are, saying anything to get smeters on homes. And if people don’t accept the lies, the power is turned off. Now that the weather is cooling off, I bet we will see more of this sort of thing.
“Watson says she has a major concern about the smart meters: “They’re proven to have radiation that’s affecting our bodies,” she said. “We know radiation is not safe.”
But DTE says that claim is unfounded. The company maintains radio frequency exposure from a smart meter is far below other common electric devices, including TV remotes.
DTE also says old analog meters use obsolete technology that is no longer supported and must be changed out. Watson says until this issue is resolved, she’s turned to another source to power home – a generator.”
