People keep telling me it’s cheaper to get a bundle from Telus or Shaw or whatever, and I say absolutely NOT because if one goes down, I’ll still have the other (both wired). They really don’t get it that a bundle means the whole thing goes down because they think they still have a “landline”, sort of, kind of, but not really. So I have Telus for phone, and Shaw for wired internet with several wired routers from Value Village etc. as spares, and an ancient computer (several actually, one on ethernet if I need it).
2) From one of our technical members who is always searching for more information. In this article, an option that is far better than wireless is using fiber optic cable but if that is not feasible, the copper lines that are already attached to the home combined with 5G can provide extremely fast and safe internet connections, far superior to wireless. Why is Telus yanking out the copper lines to our homes when these would offer fast, cheap and excellent service? It seems that Shaw is using the copper line if people do not accept Wi-Fi.
Santa Cruz, Siklu is attaching its radios to Cruzio’s fiber network in what the partners bill as a “first-of-its-kind deployment in the United States.” Radios “can be attached to building facades, the top of buildings, poles and other points in the community to create an ultra-fast wireless extension of fiber,” according to a project announcement. In addition to the cost perspective, Siklu notes a wireless-based system will go live much faster than a fiber-to-the-home deployment…
Another increasingly prevalent option for extending fiber networks is by leveraging existing copper-to-the-home networks and G.fast technology. For instance, Nokia and Chunghwa Telecom are using G.fast in Taiwan to provide fiber-like speeds in locations where fiber deployment is difficult of cost prohibitive by using the “last mile” of copper, which also eliminates the need to rewire buildings.

Please read the excerpts I have sent in this email. They affect us all and our families:
BC has become industries’ 5G microcell testing ground, city councils are bypassed, and no one consented to this uncontrolled biological experiment!
Placements of 5G microwave transmitters in front of people’s homes, without informed consent, is a grotesque violation of human and civil rights!
5G microwave frequencies are also employed in weaponry, by Russia, China and the U.S. military, causing instant debilitation of its victims.
Do not be fooled by the apparent smaller size of microcells!
We monitored numerous microcells in one of Vancouver Island’s smaller cities, over several days, using a digital RF meter. All microcells we monitored registered very high microwave radiation readings, considerably higher than conventional cell towers, some recorded as high as: 105.1000 mW/m2 – only a few feet away from bedrooms!
This is 105 times higher than ‘very far above normal’ of the Austrian Medical Association EMF Guideline!
This is a serious problem. We are already submerged in the cleanup of messes left by both industry and the bad governments that have supported them. Let’s not compound the problems by allowing more mess instituted by these industries. Learn from past experiences. Why wait for people to start dropping like flies? Nip it in the bud. The handwriting is on the wall…. it couldn’t be plainer and easier to read. Scientists and doctors from all over the world have been reporting health risks associated with the present microwave frequencies and are now asking for a moratorium on 5G. FOR GODSAKE LISTEN TO WHAT THEY ARE SAYING!
“The wireless industry is trying to deploy technology that may have some very real unintended harmful consequences,” explains one of the organizers of the letter, Lennart Hardell, MD, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Oncology, Faculty of Medicine and Health, Örebro University, Örebro, Sweden. “Scientific studies from years ago along with many new studies are consistently identifying harmful human health impacts when wireless products are tested properly using conditions that reflect actual exposures. With hazards at those exposures, we are very concerned that the added exposure to 5G radiation could result in tragic, irreversible harm.”

We have scientists to enhance our understanding of the universe and our ecosystem. That growing body of knowledge is there to help us make better decisions. If we don’t listen to what their research is telling us, we can’t make those better decisions.
